Dude, the fedex truck was AT Monkish before the release. I think they're just gonna set up a drop off spot there. print and ship in the front offices. :stuck_out_tongue:

Usually they about 170-175 from what I saw...

I would prefer 1 big release... easier to get

Just a suggestion or request for February: maybe a Monkish regular could put together a FAQ's to start the monthly threads? Just a thought

They need to start doing online sales instead. The IG post is so misleading "4PM RELEASE TIPA "then "O we are going to release it now @330" "O WE SOLD OUT by 4pm."It doesn't help that us hardworkers can't get a hold of these cans. Also doesn't help that there is bums waiting in line before they even announce the beer release.

how would it have mattered if they waited till 4pm? The line was already there

That really sold out faster than expected.
    People are fucking crazy.
Oh well.. here's hoping for a Friday release (I have this Friday off) like how they released Deep Concentration the same week as Foggy Window recently, although I didn't get either even though I'm only 15 minutes away...
I think just luckily having work off the same day as a release is the only way to realistically ensure being in line at a regular, sane, reasonable hour to get any unless you have no job, no life, or just don't give a fuck about anything but #dathazelifebro
I can't duck with these super dedicated beer bros, they make me sick actually

Again, this was brought up many a times here. Forget it. MT is doing it right by online sales. It would be nice and probably better for Monks loyal customers and longtime supporters if they did an online sales instead. But are they really thinking about their loyal customers?

    buuuuuuuuut, the hype suffers. :stuck_out_tongue:

It wouldn't have mattered if they waited till 4pm, the line was there the moment they announced it and it would have only meant that you waited an extra half hour to be told it sold out.

Do they still need the hype? How long would it take for them to sell out of 300-400 cases(if they could produce that much)? Same day? Hour into the next day?

ppl think these are going for trades, maybe some, but a lot are being sold in beer raffles for nice profits. Still not worth waiting in line for. But if you were a min wage worker, waiting 3 hours for the beer and selling each four pack for $90 and cost of shipping, it might be worthwhile.

So when are they going to scrap the Belgiums and just make nothing but haze?

Depends on the allocation size, but I would figure well into the next day (assuming three 4-packs/person).

How do the beer raffles work? I'm used to seeing raffles where the proceeds go to charity but this sounds different.

I think the charitable proceeds go to the "Human Fund" last I heard.

I've seen these before on FB. I think it's a way for them to legally sell beer. You pretty much sell raffle tickets at like $5 a pop, or whatever amount. You then do your raffle and "give away" said beer. People make out pretty well.

I was talking with Eric and Ivan on Tuesday and was saying they should do a canned Belgian beer release just to fuck with people

The lower counts were for a DDH DIPA and a TIPA, requiring a lot more hops. Not sure if it is a cost vs risk issue or something.
