Assassin/KBBS day 2017...

I'd skip the cans and try to find bottles, honestly. Cans just aren't the best representation, once you have sue out of Iowa the Florida cans taste like a facsimile. Not a knock against TGB, more of a testament to their home base operations. The FLA sue is almost a different beer.

 

The last can I had (late Nov date and drank in late Dec) was the best Sue I'd had in years. I take it they've had multiple cannings since then.

 

I definitely can see variance from 4 pack to 4 pack. Still awesome, but sometimes better than other times. Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with some of the sentiment on the board here.

Let me say I am very much a dunce compared to a lot of people on here so my opinion means nothing! Just something I've noticed after reading smarter folks insight.

Since you're local (or in Iowa at least), it's worth a shot to contact them and explain what happened... pretty crappy situation that you have zero control over, so MAYBE they will work with you to allow you to pick up at another time.

I realize their policy says the opposite, but can't hurt to ask. Sometimes they're willing to bend the rules in a case like this, they just don't want to publicize it because then everyone and their brother is going to ask for exceptions.

 

Contrary to popular belief. We've got paved roads in Iowa. Electricity too! You may actually see some Amish up around the Minnesota/Iowa line though. Unless you're taking some completely backwards way of getting into Decorah, you should be on pavement the entire way.

 

Yeah, I would definitely keep the request to a DM. Clark can be a pretty cool guy, so I'm sure there's a chance he'd do this, but not openly.

I wouldn't suggest that was really a positive answer. It's pretty clear he was looking for the picture, not to be told the picture exists.
