I suppose my biggest peeve is when the other person your trading with takes days to leave feedback and/or respond and let you know the package has arrived and that they are pleased or even possibly unpleased. Maybe it's just me but when I ship I'm thinking about that box of beer almost every five minutes.

I hate when you list a specific FT list and specific ISO and someone pm's you and tells you that he/she has your ISO but doesn't want anything from your FT and asks if you have anything else for trade. Quite annoying. If I did have anything else available for trade wouldn't I have listed that in first place? Cant tell you how many times that has happened to me...

    Two main issues:

    1: PM me for ratios

2: I am sure we can work something out.

90%+ of issues seem to arise from these cryptic words.

Anyone convinced that their "limited" major release beer is something that should trade for a crazy haul. Stuff like Hopslam, Lizard of Koz, Backwoods, or regular Abyss.

PM for Ratios can be annoying but I've used things like "I'm sure we can work something out" in the past and it's not because I'm fishing for the best offer. When I say it, I'm basically saying "I can add a bit if you're on the fence or swap out a bottle or two for something else that you'd rather have". I guess if the offer is open ended like FT: Hops ISO: FO then it may just be an attempt to get someone into negotiations but I feel like "PM for ratios" is used not more than scenario and "I'm sure we can work something out" is usually used more for when someone is willing to bend to make a deal work.

When you do say "I can add a bit if you are on the fence, or swap out a bottle" those are fine and I have had zero issues there. When it is the simple "Am sure we can work something out" that has led to issues. Actually the overwhelming majority of deals are very good all the way around, although I did get some bubble wrap recently that was so used up it was like saran wrap when it arrived with virtually no bubbles.

I don't mind this especially if is logical question. If I post FT: Carton Regular Coffee and someone asks for other NJ beers it makes sense I might have them. If someone asks if I have some brewery only beer from Arkansas that just seems silly.

I'm also ok if someone suggests an ISO I didn't list. Again as long as it makes sense. Even if it doesn't, it isn't that big a burden to shoot back a quick no thanks

When people list ISO: List FT: List, at least put something in the headline!

or when people post an ISO and you PM them and they read it and no response, I always no matter what respond if someone messages me.

This will forever be my biggest trading pet peeve. Has happened to me countless times. Like you, I always respond to any and all messages as courtesy.

This is happened to me more frequently recently, not sure what the deal is but ill remember those names and refrain from trading with them in the future.

On say a Wednesday, the trader says let's wait until Monday to ship so that " the beer doesn't sit on a truck all weekend". If it's the summer I get it. But in the middle of winter who cares.

I care in the middle of Winter. I'm not interested in frozen beers, or broken bottles as a result.

Plenty of people care that live in really cold places, who can trust/really say where that beer could be sitting and could potentially freeze.

As stated above, the not responding to messages really is annoying. It takes seconds. I don't understand why even get involved with trading if you cant be bothered to just simply send back responses.

Oddest trade interaction I've ever had was when I received an unsolicited PM from a BA about some HF bottles. It also happened to be the same day he joined the site. He said he had a couple and asked if I was interested in them. I responded back that same day. He reads my message, doesn't respond. I follow up two days later to see if he still had them/wants to trade them. He reads again and doesn't respond. Then he is never to be seen or heard from again on BA.

Just tried to respond to a ISO post and it says I can't start a conversation with the member. I think it must be similar to what your describing. The "start a conversation" link isn't on their profile and if I choose start a new conversation in messages when I click send there is an error that says I can't start a message with this member.

I am getting older, so I have lots of peeves.....Which is why I drink.

That being said, it really annoys me when I get radio silence. For example: I post an ISO. Person responds to thread, and asks if "there is any interest in__________?" I respond that I am indeed interested. Person says that they have a couple of things they could add to even the trade and will pick them up this weekend and get back to me.

    .
I have heard nothing, and I reach out to that person (because I did take the potentially spoken for beers off the trading block). Person says couldn't make it, but will let me know this week.

Nothing. ***Is he ok? Did he die? Did his Commanding Officer (aka wife) restrict communications by setting "River City condition____"? Did the stock market crash? Do we REALLY need Rick Grimes? I mean it had me really freaking out.***

Phew....He didn't die. He just posted in the "Completed Trades" forum. What a relief!

Joking aside, I just expect some sort of communication to update me. I have no problem holding off, just let me know. My heart can't withstand this much excitement and uncertainty.

Not reading the message you sent before replying.

They listed ISO a brewery I had beer from and I specifically asked if they were only looking for IPAs from that brewery and said I was out of them, but had X and Y. Then we message back and forth for a day or so, before they ultimately turn down a trade saying they are looking for NEIPAs from that brewery if I have them...
