I wish more breweries in NYC would start selling single cans. So much beer coming out I rarely need 4 packs of anything anymore.

 

Flip side is, if one of the offerings speaks strongly to you, grab an extra 4-pack of it. Or a growler of something on tap (though this option may not work well depending on your plans). Another option is to bring something (beer/glassware/something else) with you and trade it for extra cans with someone here. I've never in my life gotten 4 packs of every offering simply because it's too much beer, as @NJNYC732 just pointed out.

 

Maybe with the new space they could do it, but as things are now, their goal, as mentioned here often, is to get the beers out of the door as quickly as possible. It would be cool for them to eventually have a Threes-like setup with a fridge full of beer that one could buy at any time, in singles, 4-packs or (praying here) 6-packs. However, almost every brewery I have been to in the USA that has a fridge sells in packs and not singles, so this isn't a common idea yet.

 

Also, if you think about it, single can/bottle sales are much more common at retail shops, so what would reslly be ideal is for OH to reach the point at which they could distribute cans to stores.

 

Hoping by 12ish its walk-in, walk-out, and can snag one 4 pack of one of the DIPAs. No collabs... anyone else think this is a possibility?

 

I mean if we have a weird night and get a foot of snow, sure.

I haven't been there in about two years and didn't know they were doing that. Pretty cool.

 

Can't believe there are still 35 cases of Green Diamonds left. No love for one of the OG cans? Also cases of bottles of In Absentia and Cane Life left too. Any more feedback on how any of the Cane Life bottles are? Wondering if I should go back for more. Got Vanilla but haven't popped it yet.

 

So they are going to have 4 new cans, GD leftovers and bottled stouts for sale tomorrow? I'm fully expecting this line to move really slow.

 

I saw a lot of feedback about flat/undercarbed bottles. The only one I've opened this far was Coconut+Coffee. It was perfectly carbed but extremely sweet. Anxious to sit on my other one for a while and see how it develops

 

I refrained from buying GD last weekend because the last few times I've had the beer it's been pretty damn hot and thus unenjoyable (not what I want in an IPA).

Peeked in the space next door a couple nights ago. Looked really spacious. Gonna be killer once it opens.

 

It was really great to see cans of green diamonds show up at good beer! fingers crossed we see more of that in the future. It's one of the few ways to buy a single can.

 

Is there an ETA on when the new taproom will open?

 

Interesting...I went to their Fort Point location and all they had were cans and growler fills. I was a bit surprised you couldn't even do tastings there.
