I've got a 9pm flight out of LAX tonight and I will probably be done with work around 4pm today so I am looking for some advice on where to go that is between my office (in Beverly Hills) and LAX or very close to one of the two. Would like to avoid absurd amounts of traffic and crowds if possible, although in LA I'm guessing it isn't...thanks in advance for your help!

Depends on the route you take to LAX. For example you could scoot over to Santa Monica and then take Lincoln the whole way, which would allow you to go somewhere like Library Alehouse, or Firestone Walker. If you want to take the freeway and stay close to the airport you can go like three miles further to El Segundo Brewery. The taproom opens at 2pm today.

4pm is pretty much the heart of traffic in that general area between BH and LAX. I would say stop by Firestone Venice and take the back way to LAX and maybe you'll save some time enough to get a couple of pours, but, I mean, it's also a Friday night at LAX. :grimacing:

What JLoco said....3 Weavers and ESBC. Point the Way inside T6 if your desperately thirsty b4 your flight.

You could always try to set up a parking lot bottle share. That's how we do it in LA

Yeah what others have already mentioned, Firestone, 3 weavers and El segundo are your best bets. If you really really want to do Monkish and Smog you could maybe fit those in if you leave right at 4, drink quickly, and then dont have to deal with returning a car at the airport.

One note.....and an important one....TRAFFIC on Century Blvd coming and going. Construction IS going on and will go on for awhile. So be ready for delays. ESBC & 3 W might be your best bet. From ESBC you can take Sepulveda Blvd tunnel and bypass Century. From 3 W go up Manchester Blvd to Sepulveda and go south till you enter the airport area.

sounds like based on traffic concerns and the decent offerings at LAX it might make the most sense to just go to the airport and check out the offerings there? Any of the LAX spots better than the others?
