I know about the he lease and it's coming up soon. But I also "heard" (talk) about their $$ situation before all the haze rage. Maybe they had to make some drastic measures before.....? I don't know how true it is. I'm sure they dont want that kind of advertisement out there here. I know before Other Half came hear that OH was doing really good with all their can releases. How good? Not sure. But Henry probably made the right move by making Hazy IPA's before others decided to try it.

I barely want to pay $20 a 4 pack. That is basically bar prices for something I drink at home. If some asked for $30 a 4 pack for an IPA I would laugh. Hell I don't trade beer because I don't want to have to pay for shipping. Whoever pays more for an IPA either has way to much money or is crazy.

Well $5 a pint is lower than some breweries charge at the source. Hell Monkish sells 8 ounce pours of their double IPAs for $5 when on tap at the brewery. But I agree with everything after why you barely want to pay $20 a 4 pack.

I also thought it was amusing to see that The Bruery has also started doing hazy hoppy beers. Maybe their cans are next. Though their tasting room is already ridiculously crowded every time I stop by. Hard to think that they would have room for more people who are drawn there by the haze.

I was there yesterday for the release of Biggie, Biggie, Biggie. They happened to sell out of cans about 30 people ahead of me, so I just enjoyed a pour on tap. $7 for a 8oz pour of their triple IPA. I believe it was $7 for a 12oz pour of Foggy Window (DIPA). - Cans are cheaper than pours for them.

Lastly, I did try the Hazy Pale ale at the Bruery and was not impressed at all. They have a long way to go - nor do I think they are going that path though.

...but will happily fill a growler with the same amount of beer but which will go flat faster for $20... haha.

No, I don't want to do that either. Not sure I have ever paid $20 for a growler.

Many of the LA breweries have $18-20+ growler fills. I've seen some as high as $25 at El Segundo and Highland Park, glass not included.

Anyways, the point is that a $20 4-pack of pint cans (64 oz) is not that bad of a value when compared to growler fills at $20.

And, of course, those growler fills from places are typically stuff they do not have in cans or bottle form. So you're kind of stuck doing that unless you want to drink it all at the brewery.

Made a stop there last night and it was pretty quiet and relaxed. I guess when there's only one hazy beer on tap and no growler fills, it's the best time to go.

I guess I should factor in the rain too.

Isn't that the norm? Though, with Mikkeller there working on a collab, isn't that less likely a reason to have a can release, especially given the 2pm opening?

Yeah that's the norm. The staff there said there's always a group of people who hang out around the parking lot each day waiting to see if a can release instagram post drops at around 2-2:30. If there isn't, then they go home...
