Looks like my thought of pushing cans out to distro to help move them has come true. Been seeing post on fb all afternoon of locations around RVA getting several cases each. Doubt they will make it much farther than that with the weekend's weather.

Child Support w/ Galaxy (DEBUT) is our 4.5% unfiltered hoppy Pilsner showcasing a different aromatic hop every release. This time around we went with the almighty GALAXY! Shooting for approx 85-100 cases. $13+tax/4-pack. 1 case(6x 4-packs) per person limit.

Eternal Lord Shredder (DEBUT) is Eternal Shredder(the imperial version of our house IPA Master Shredder) with a ton of blood orange added to it. 8.7% and dry-hopped heavily, this one is gnar-gnar. Shooting for approx 200-225 cases. $17+tax/4-pack. 2x cases(12x 4-packs) per person limit

IdontwanttoBU is our 6.9% 0 IBU IPA hoppy intensely with Citra and Mosaic hops. Shooting for approx 200-220 cases. $14+tax/4-pack. 2x cases(12x 4-packs) per person limit.

Any Crucial Taunt or LOL Tho that rolls over into Tuesday will remain at 5x cases per person limit.

We will also have a small VERY limited surprise that we will announce shortly for Tuesday's release. Stay tuned!

This Tuesday we will be offering a VERY limited amount of these Reverie Distribution glasses for purchase. They will only be available from our tasting room(no online sales). $15+tax/glass. 1 glass per person. There will only be 18 glasses available(there were less than 80 total glasses made). These glasses may never be offered for sale again. First come, first serve. Hope to see y'all on Tuesday at 4pm!

 

Well cool, sounds like front of the line will be glass chasers and handtruck hauls but rolling by later should work out nicely! I haven't been a fan of LS or LLSS, but I loved Eternal so am in for that one. Glad there's a new batch of Idont. I feel like the last round of Idont was killer (idont and iREALLYdont) but Idontever wasn't up to par. Curious to see how these all stack up.

Liked LES enough to grab a couple. idont is a great batch right now, got the haze. Feel like some bitter is gonna poke out and floaties aren't far behind but hoping I'm wrong.

We are officially SOLD OUT of Crucial Taunt cans, Reverie glasses, and Dracula Tekus. We still have a bunch of cans left. Starting at 4pm, we will begin selling the following brands in fresh 16oz/4-pack cans.

I think LOL started with 47 so they only sold 31, think that would be 268 total.

In any case pretty weak release sales by their standards. Most 3 can releases sell about 400 even if there isn't a gose.

 

You're right. My mistake on that. When I first saw the post I thought they sold out of both yesterday and caught the error only to forget to update the number. Either way, what's remaining today is accurate. Definitely low sales. Maybe they should have been more creative with how the Reverie glasses were sold. .

 

Probably a combo of weather, New Year's resolutions to drink less/lose weight/save money and the lack of a sexy new DIPA. Makes me feel good about my chances tomorrow night.

Anyone here had the Child Support w/ Galaxy and care to weigh in with their thoughts? The Child Support w/ Citra is probably my favorite session beer of all time, but early untappd reviews are pretty lackluster on this version.

 

Had a can of OK, Guy tonight, and there was a ridiculous amount of sediment that I don't remember being there a month back when it was fresh. Most I think I've seen in any beer. Still smelled and tasted pretty good, but the appearance was a little off putting.

 

Yeah that beer was normal looking for about a week and then it suddenly separated like that. It definitely looked much better fresh but I think it drank better after a couple of weeks.

 

Today's (THURSDAY) remaining cans...Everything No Limit. I see everything except LOL easily making it to the weekend.

I've seen posts on fb about Veil needing to be more consistent, especially with their flagships. Some people calling this batch of CT a miss where last batch was fantastic for instance, or general B3 > B1 > B2. I can see both sides.

What I'm wondering, I feel like I've noticed inconsistencies within the same batch, like this week between Eternal Lord Shredder draft and cans. I bought more ELS cans than I planned because I loved it on tap. I felt like it was basically Eternal Shredder (hazy, silky mouthfeel, great body, muted OJ) but the cans I've had are nearly clear and are basically a boozier Lord Shredder (already a good amount of sediment too).

Anyone else notice this? Maybe I'm off base, or maybe there's a logical explanation for this?

Completely different question - do we think canning dates are gone for good?

 

Ah man, I guess when I know how old they are, I didn't even notice this, I had to look at this weeks cans to check. Weird.

Sat., Feb 11th. Tasting Room Remix (w/ Trillium!) @ Veil

Saturday February 11th will be our second Tasting Room Remix. This time we are honored to host our good friends Trillium Brewing Company!!!

Starting at 12pm when we open doors, we will be pouring 9 beers on draft from Trillium and some very special beers from us. We will announce the draft list from both breweries as we get closer. The Trillium team will be around hanging out all day too, so make sure you say sup.

For this special occasion, we decided to bring back the boiz from Maine at The Highroller Lobster Co. to murder us with their inventive and classic lobster/seafood creations. They are bringing twice as much Lobster as last time, so don't freak out.

Like last Tasting Room Remix, we will have DJ sets all day from BillyCrystalFingers, Dj Chenchilla, Dj El Capone, DJ Ant Boogz, and DJ Mom(Baxter from High Roller). We will also be hosting our first ever live music performance. Our friend and local hip-hop artist Chance Fisher will be turning things up to finish out the night.

It's going to be straight lit! So come through and try some rad beers from Trillium on draft and some cool limited beers from us Veilians.

Open 12pm-12am for this day. No cover. No tickets. Just awesome beer, food, and jamz all dang day!
