I would bet there won't be a ton extra if RS didn't get a purchase allotment and HS didn't have the ability to wish for more. If it comes up first come first serve better dust off the old trigger finger.

Looks like this year they are splitting out the PS only taps at the tasting room instead of combining with RS taps. Real bummer since the only reason I joined PS is to try the allocations of my split membership before buying.

Anyone want to take over a HS membership?

Well, here's the thing, you're splitting a membership, which isn't really frowned upon but you're also not the person who the membership is for. I get why you bought a PS membership, but honestly, paying for a PS membership to get RS level pours is a big FU to the RS members that pay full price.

However, there's always rad beertenders and members that would be more than happy to hook you up with a pour of something you'd like to try. At the same time, everything that is on the RS and HS taplists are abso-fricken-lutely delicious, except I'm not sure about the new chron 6, I haven't heard much about that one.

I didn't know they changed it this year? Definitely it was a bonus last year, when I was getting RS pours as a PS.

The cost difference from PS to RS is not much, it's totally worth it.

I don't see how that would be insulting to RS members considering that it's a fractional benefit to enjoy RS pours compared to having the right to purchase bottles at a discount from their computer.

I value guaranteed and easy access, not exclusivity.

It's still a benefit that RS pays for, and HS pays for it as well. PS got lucky this last year and could pay a fraction of an RS membership and get RS pours.

That's something that you may value over the exclusivity. Someone else may visit the taproom much more often and like knowing that they can get a pour of Vindictive whenever they want. Different strokes.

I'm one of those that views the RS pours and RS growler fills an important part of my membership, which supplements the bottle allocations..

I can't say I was insulted when they opened up the RS pours to PS. But one couldn't help but think back to when they were PS members and that benefit wasn't available.

It does seem the three tier pours makes more sense. Each Society gets an increasing level of access, as you move up through the tiers.

Just cracked my Melange 15, and I'm sad to say that infection has started to seep in. I can't believe I waited this long to crack it! The infection with so many beers (not just Bruery) these days is driving me nuts.

Slow down there a bit... PS costs $270/yr, and iirc RS membership cost $295. That isn't too far off. I could be wrong on the RS cost, but 9/10's is a pretty big part of a fraction if I'm right.

Edit: Not that I think they should get access to all of the society pours, but just the cost is very comparable.

Is there anything less inspiring than opening a beer for the purpose of confirming it is bad.

You're telling me. I hate getting wind of infection and then running to grab my bottle. I will be changing my habits and drinking beers (especially new beers) right after getting them.

Same here. Opened last night and was bummed to see.

Emailed society but no offer to credit back as of yet. They just thanked me for sharing.

    Completely different response than SHiT

I wasn't as clear as I should've been. I'm referring to someone buying PS for one quarter and enjoying the pours of RS for that entire quarter.

I don't mind PS getting RS pours as long as RS doesn't get HS pours.....

Did you buy directly from the Bruery? I was told by them that I would be issued a refund.

    But we do

We all know how lines blur when we all get together in the tasting room, sharing tends to be the name of the game.
