Other Half Brewing January 2017!

You probably had to get there around 11 to get everything. Took 70 minutes from open to get a bit of everything.

This ACE is delicious right out of the gate

 

psyched to be able to run to OH and have the option of AGE, SGE, and green diamonds to choose from.

 

Anyone ask what's up next?

 

This was my first time up to OH and upon getting there realized a couple things...like I shoulda brought a hand truck or something...I picked up a full case of AGE, half of ACE and Space Diamonds, and just a 4-pack of SGE...knew I couldn't carry more. Next time...hand truck. Getting there was relatively easy, except for the fact that 3rd St. had some interesting driving, and then parking was fun. But in line at 8:30a, got mine around 10:30, back on the road after that, so all went well. Looking forward to sampling an SGE later.

 

I must have just missed ACE and SD around 12:45 or so, but hey, no line whatsoever.

 

I know one of them next weekend is a Nelson single hop ipa

 

So much good beer around. Do you really NEED more than 2 plus cases? Personally I have learned to max out on a 12 of each. There's always more coming.

I max out at a 4 pack of each...unless it's Broccoli!

 

Hoping someone AGE lasts for the next hour...

 

Well, AGE is one of my top 5 IPAs, and I've folks over enough that appreciate a good beer that it wouldn't go to waste, so, yeah, the max of the allotment would've been good. But hey, live n learn.

 

Disappointed I missed the DDH. That's 2 releases in a row (skipped last week) that I missed the "hype" beers. And yet, I still picked up DDH Amarillo, DDH Stacks, Green Diamonds, Small Green Everything and AGE. Impressive considering - but going forward I'll leave a little earlier.

 

Is Cane Life worth picking up?

 

Yes IMO

 

I have to see which versions they have left. Never had a dark beer from OH

 

As long as you're there, why not? Looks like you may have missed a few of the cans, but the growler board looks nice. By the way, have you been to Troon yet? Definitely worth the stop.

 

AGE is one of the few regulars I max out on, they hold up well over time and never let me down on flavor or getting drunk

As for the hand carts, at the blowing up the spot release some chicks hand cart tipped over and a stacks on stacks can ended up popping in the gutter, I barrow my friends green whole foods hand cart that is kind of like a big bag with nice wheels, holds cases perfectly without having to worry about anything sliding off

 

I was able to pick up 4 packs of AGE and the session.

Haven't been to Troon yet. Was supposed to go today but called the audible for Brooklyn.

 

Me neither. Soon! Never been to Conclave either. (Off topic Jersey jerks itt)


EDIT Having had both in 24 hours . . Green Diamonds has a lot in common with the Idipa/Egoipa/Superegoipa line of beers. Must be mostly the Galaxy.

 

Damn, they also have In Absentia Luci. My wallet, guys.
