600 allotments with 3 four packs pp, wish they would just do single can releases like this more often.

also Als is getting blasted for that post, don't know if this is sarcasm or what but:

alsofhampden Thanks guys! now you got me in trouble!! Jean called and i have take all the TH beers off my tap lines. You guys are the worst.

Anyone have a pulse on the line? 600 full allotments is a ton. Wonder if it'll last till 7ish.

Very possible. When they did a big batch of Strawberry on a Friday it lasted for hours.

Reading through the copious Instagram comments, it sounds like Pineapple Milkshake sold out well before 7. Somewhat surprised by this. It sold much faster than Strawberry...perhaps due to the lower number of total allotments?

Edit: misread their previous post. There were actually more allotments of Pineapple (600) than the last Strawberry release (525).

    Pineapple > Strawberry?

They released strawberry 2-3 times before so maybe the hype wasn't as high. That's my guess anyway. I definitely get more excited when it's one I never had before.

600 allotments gone by 7???? That's crazy. And you have to think closer to 700 since not everyone gets the full allotment.

If you're waiting in that kind of line and not getting the full alottment you're fucking up LOL.

Tons of vanilla right now but that should mellow out in a few days. Real good though!

Hearing reports that Pineapple Milkshake is just ok and needs time. Truth?

I can’t provide any input on the Pineapple Milkshake but I certainly hope (there is that word again:confused:) that it is better than the Cellophane Thin IPA I had earlier this evening; that beer was disappointing.

I have no real clue what is going on at Tired Hands and their continuing QC issues but…

    Non-cheers to this continuing problem.:slight_frown:

id say it's good to great.. don't think time is going to do much to make it better.. not a ton of pineapple and don't expect it to just appear out of thin air.. def a lot of vanilla/citra etc like all shakes... it's not a home run but it's not a dud

What QC problems did you detect in Cellophane Thin? I had it as a taster/sample at the Pineal & Drone Standard release and did not detect any off flavors. It was by no means an exemplary beer, but I did not catch any defects.

I also did not detect anything in the sample pour I got even though the bartender warned me. I subsequently ordered a pint and after about 1/3 of the pint I got a burning sensation in my throat (just like the bartender said I would).

I only drank 1/3 of that beer; I couldn't finish it.

Non-cheers to these bad Tired Hands beers.:slight_frown:

P.S. I always ask for a taste of Tired Hands beers before ordering a pint. This strategy has always worked for me until this time.

Maybe QC issues depends on whether or not they smoked up before brewing that day.

I recently saw a photograph of the new beer glass that will be at Tired Hands: the glass has the shape of a bong. When I saw that photograph I had the exact same thought that you expressed here.

    Cheers!

Based on previous history, guessing it'll be a Thursday release this week? Or is MLK not a big enough holiday to push back the canning process.

Hoping for a Hop Hands, Church, High Road type of release. I need to stock up again.

Without reading this whole thread, can someone give me a quick rundown on how TH releases work? I'll be in Philly but dont't have the ability to put a chair in line at noon and come back close to 5. Is there any hope to grab something if I just show up closer to 5?
    Thanks in advance.
