craving that treehouse flavor profile (aka fruit bomb/citra-forward) but not, at the moment, in a position to drive to MA. Anyone know of a beer available in the mid-atlantic that mimics that style?

Not expecting any miracles here--obviously if it were easy to do everyone would do it. The closest I've found so far is voodoo ranger but that's a stretch.

I've really enjoyed Manor Hill's HHY 6. I still have some in the fridge if it is sold out.

Veil is probably your best bet

I'm in Annapolis, so VA is not out of reach, esp if it's D.C.-area.

End up in Ellicott fairly often so will check out the Manor Hill. Re: Veil--any one in particular? I've never had any of theirs.

Pretty much every IPA that The Veil makes is NE style. You'll have to make the trip to the brewery for cans but the NRG bars in DC (Churchkey, Red Apron, etc) get kegs from time to time.

Aslin in NoVa (by Dulles) makes some great NE IPAs, better than Veil imo.

RAR has a couple NE style juicy IPAs/Pale Ales.

Double duckpin was the best beer I had that was available at a grocery store in Maryland

RAR--I've had Nanticoke and their Hefe, that's it. I see they have an occasional release called "northeast"--guessing that's the one to keep an eye out for?

Diamondback out of Baltimore periodically releases a NE-style IPA called Green Machine - it isn't a juice bomb, but it's tasty. And turbid!

They also released a DIPA a few days ago called Hop Brothel:

Great IIPA but definitely not a NE Style.

Bluejacket DC has had a few NE style/turbid beer releases over the past 6 months. Check out their website to see whats available for carryout.

RAR is the place. But Hop Brothel is excellent.

The last batch definitely seemed like it was a "cheater" NE IPA - it was turbid, but also looked like it had a bunch of flour in the beer.

Agree with RAR but most of the NE style ones are special release.
