Nickle Brook Café Del Bastardo is being released only on lcbo.com end of January sometime.

I don't disagree with you, but you are beers of different styles, so there really isn't much of a basis for comparison here at all.

I believe the G'Knight for the LCBO was made at the new brewery, while I have had it from both breweries in the past and it has been been pretty consistent. Maybe I was remembering wrong, maybe it was an off batch, maybe it was warm storage, who knows. Just my nickels worth of opinion. I still enjoyed it.

Looks like Immodest will come back shortly. Not sure what the problem was, but another hefty increse on this one, now listed at $5.50. Nickelbrook is starting to lose me...

That has to be the price per can, but does it at least include tax?!?!

Yes and yes, but still exaggerated

I believe LCBO listed price includes tax, but not deposit

I'll pay the 5.50 for this, over 7$ for A la fut cans

7$ for a sixer of Vieux Montréal and a Snickers is a safer bet than the Á la fût cans :stuck_out_tongue:

I've never bought anything from À La Fût. Not going to encourage breweries who go over the top with pricing

I think its fair for this beer. One of, if not the best, DIPAs in Ontario that gets distribution.

Agreed on the quality of the beer, absolutely love it. But I can buy LTM IPA for around $6.50 for a 750, and I'm sure the LTM guys aren't eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner.

I think the more we show we're okay with those prices, the more other breweries are bound to follow. Kimmich has been able to keep Heady prices the same while opening a new brewery, hiring more staff etc. I get that hops are more expensive to get here, but even with all the conversion, something's not adding up.

LTM IPA comes up to $0.87 per 100ml whereas Immodest is $1.16 per 100ml, 25% more. Anyway, just dissapointed Nickelbrook's been cranking up the price substantially on some of my favourite beers of theirs

But I would drink 10 Immodests before I drank one LTM.
I don't think its fair of one or even a handful of beer nerds to speak on behalf of the rest of them when it comes to pricing. Some people are willing to pay for beer they enjoy.
Should we compare pricing per mL on Cantillon and whether thats worth it?

That's a two-way street. For every person that says it is too much there is someone that says you should pay whatever you're comfortable with. Both are right in their own way.

To me at least the issue here (and honestly I don't really care since I don't really ever try ON beers) is raising the price on something that they obviously don't have trouble selling and that theoretically they are producing more of. Not to mention just the reality of paying over 5$ for a can of very-good-but-not-mind-blowing/limited/strong/unique beer. But anyway....

Also, if you haven't got a chance to try LTM's new IPA yet you should. It's great!

Then there'll be more for you to enjoy. Care to indicate where and how I spoke on behalf of anyone but myself?

It would seem that everyone has upped the prices of their beer. Last year, 3 minutes to midnight was 12$, this year it was 14$. Last year Exorciste (regular) from DDC was 12$. This year it's 18$. We complain when we pay $$ for Canadian IPA/DIPA, but think we got the best deal of our lives when we spent to equivalent (in USD) on Trillium/Tree House/Other Half etc...

No back to our regularly scheduled thread:

Someone have 35$ to lend me to buy GI Gillian? Impulse brain is dying to do it, but sensible brain is questioning my sanity.

How is that speaking for everyone? It's an opinion that they're bound to keep raising their prices if they sell out at an already high price.

Unless you're close to Summerhill in Toronto on the special event with Goose Island they'll be holding early February, you won't need to have that dilemna. That's the only location they'll be releasing unfortunately. Unless someone can get it for you or trade?
