My local store is getting Wishful Sinful today. Def going to pick up a bottle. But I was looking at my rating for Short's Wishful Sinful that I had back in 2015 and the description is a little different than what is coming out in bottles.

    Here is the description:
Wishful Sinful is an experimental Golden Ale brewed with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and flaked rye aged in wine barrels for 6 months. A light rosy color and sweet berry aromatics provide the perfect precursor to the bright fruit flavors within. Boldly tart, yet refreshing and clean, the finish is mildly dry with a lingering tannic aftertaste.

It has the Soft Parade thing going on like this new bottled one but it was aged in wine barrels and def wasn't sour.

Short's must be reusing the name on a similar beer???

Hey thanks for the info. We'll pick up a couple of the porter and that Twin Peaks tribute, maybe just one sour.
Still got that Hoof Hearted. Find me. Hint: long hair, metal fan, wholesome wife.

All you Kzoo folks better make it out to an event or 3, this week! We'll be at Shakespeare's, Old Dog, and Harvey's, as far as the ON Premise goes.

Do it and don't think twice. I'd still buy it six months out (as long as the box hasn't been opened), and I'd probably go to a year out if it's been in a fridge the entire time.

I agree. I bought two the day before Christmas at Meijer in Algonquin IL. I think I paid 23.99 each. Absolutely worth it, I should have gotten all 3 that they had. All of the beers drank great that week and I have been working through the 2nd 12 pack without any drop off over this month. Grab it while u can.

Nice! Im a hop head but batch 5000 was too much too me Abv wise. I could do a 4oz sample but man 12oz was a kick in the face. Im more of a psychedelic cat grass type lol. Mmmm aroma and dry hops.

it is a big beer that's for sure. I have shared the ones I opened so far. I think I dig the Super Fluid the most out of the pack.

My ranking two and a half weeks ago: Superfluid > Aww Jeah > Stache Bender >>>>> 5K

Tonight, I'd swap 1 & 3. Stache has held up really well, but Superfluid seemed sweeter and has lost some of its bite. It's still a darn good beer, but not quite hitting those high notes for me.

Hope you had fun, I really liked Keep it in Czech.

Harvey's tonight! For all you BBA fans, Ben's Asthma should satisfy.

That Keep it in Czech is a great beer, and I really enjoyed the bock too. You must have arrived after we left, which was around 6:30. Sorry we missed you.

Had a great time converging with C-Hopslam and fam, this evening. Good people!

Thank you, Kzoo. I'm my humble opinion, you are the OG craft brew city of Michigan.

Southeastern Michigan BAs! Two big events coming up. The one I'm most excited for is the Karl's Cabin Beer pairing dinner on February 15. Includes Lil Creepster, Critterless, Ester, Hopstache, Good Humans, and.... S'more Stout! Newly announced is that Joe Short is going to be there for the fun and games.

If anyone goes, come over and say hi to me. I'll be the white guy with a beard and glasses.

Also, my personal favorite bar and grill, Ashley's in Westland, is celebrating the "Shortest Month of the Beer."
From the website: "Come join us at Ashley’s in Westland to kick off the Shortest Month of the Beer! We will be featuring 28 Short’s Brews throughout the month of February, featuring 4 brews at any given time. As one awesome beer gets taken off, another awesome beer gets tapped. Katy will be there to get the party going and share some Short’s stories. With beers this good, you certainly don’t want to miss out."

Also at Ashley's on February 16:

"Come help us celebrate the Shortest Month of the Beer at Ashley’s Westland! But please, do not forget your mustache at home. We will be having a Joe Short look-alike contest judged by Joe Short himself! If that’s not enough, some of the best Short’s brews will be flowing. Come out and have a beer or two with us. This event will be one for the books. "

Haven't seen a tap list yet, but if it's Ashley's it's gonna be good. Also, poutine, great pizza, and always a great selection of Belgian ales. Ashley's Ann Arbor is where i cut my teeth on microbrews, so they hold a special place in my heart.
