So most years...end of winter in Chicago. :stuck_out_tongue:

This year that may well be a summer release.

When I was there 2 weeks ago, I asked about this. They said that they couldn't confirm it, but preliminarily that was the plan.

I would be pretty surprised if they didn't can it, at this point; it seems inevitable. They've finally said they're starting to can their one-off batches (Cliffs of Tephora), and they're canning DDC/GDDC, so I'd have to think BHA is also coming.

HA must've realized the way to turn a "maybe I'll grab a bottle" release into a "gotta have it day one!" is to put it in 4-packs for me!

16oz BHA and it's over. I'm hoarding cases. Figure 3 months before hops suffer, roughly 30 days per month, so I'll need 90 cans to have one a day for those 3 months.

Don't they exclusively do 16 oz cans? I know the last canned batch of BHA was in 16 ouncers.

Yeah, I'm saying vs the 22oz bombers..I'm not going to buy 90 bombers, that would just be silly.

But imagine how long you could age 90 bombers of Half Acre beer!

It wasn't an announcement. The can "label" was submitted for government approval.

Confirmed regular DDC release March 3 will be in cans. Also adding Tuna to the year-round lineup and release a new canned DIPA, Topanga Gulch, released February 24.

Sweet. Looks like I'm driving to work on the 3rd to head up there later for some growler fills.

Great to see Half Acre making good on their promise to expand the canning line.

That e-mail to my Inbox with the announcement made me very happy. I'm very intrigued to check out how they all are in can format. I'll plan on checking out both release dates.

I may be more excited about Topanga Gulch than DDC (but I'm excited for both), but I'm extremely extremely excited that they're starting to up their canning. I really enjoyed Cliffs of Tephora, so if we're going to continue to get that level of quality from HA on a pretty consistent basis IN CANS, we're pretty much reached beer Nirvana here in Chicago.

Also, getting cans of Tuna year round! That beer is supremely crushable and was begging to go into cans. I can't wait!

What's the ABV on Topanga? Please tell me 7.5 or less?

If this site is to be believed, Animal Law was 7.2%, so I would imagine a DIPA version would be higher.
