I've aged a few releases and it's damn good. It loses a bit of the acidity and the subtle flavors really start coming through.

Bottles of Avancé and Helena available this weekend. Avancé is one of the most interesting beers I've ever had. Really excited to try the new batch.

Allagash's post said "all areas of distribution".

I agree that they are all very high quality. The Coolship series brews are excellent (but I think brewery only). If they aren't generating buzz in your area you could buy one, and if you like, move on to the next, and so on. Farm to Face has been one of my favorite brews to add as a trade extra, because everyone enjoys it.

If you didn't read this article in the magazine its great!

Talks about coolship brewing (including Allagash). I also think that the price of these bottles is not high (based on what they are in my area 12.95ish) when you consider the brewing process and timeframe.

FV 13 doesn't seem to have generated much hype but it's a monster. Intensely flavorful, complex, evolves in the glass, something you can sip on for a very long time and be continually intrigued and delighted by.

I will have to go back and take a look, frankly it was overwhelming what my distributor had out on the shelf. Pennsylvania is going through some changes in alcohol laws that everyone is trying to figure out how to benefit from.

I haven't enjoyed the darker sours quite as much as the others, but they are all quite good. Nancy and Farm to Face are always excellent. Avance blew me away; would buy as much of that as I could find if I saw it again.

Any thoughts on the crowd for the Wild Beer Roundup next Sat? Thinking about making the trip up from MA and wondering if its the kinda thing where the rarer stuff will sell out with the crowd that is there at 8am or bottles will last an hour or two?

Everything lasts for Wild Beer Roundup. There's no reason to get there super early. Allagash uses a very organized ticket-based sale system for the event.

Ive been to the past few wild beer round-ups. You should be okay if you are there right at the start. It's one of their bigger events with all the vintage bottles available. The bottle counts for each vintage may vary. Lil sal quantities tend to be very low comparitively to other bottles. Depending on what the limits are set at some bottles may sell out before the tickets have all gone through.

Makes sense, obviously always better to err on the earlier side I just wasn't sure how busy it would be.

I distinctly recall that Resurgam was NOT announced before hand. I just happened to be there on a day it was release and scored a few bottles.

Resurgam was announced this year. It was Saturday, November 19th, with no limit. I went that Sunday with friends. Quiet as usual and awesome as usual at Allagash. I was up there last weekend and Resurgam was still available. Snagged another bottle since it's my favorite beer they brew.

They had Avance and Resurgam bottles last Saturday afternoon, but there wasn't a whole lot of either on the floor.
