30%. Honestly, there is absolutely no way of knowing. If they happen to release a session ipa, Hop Showers, Green Diamonds or AGE then you will most likely be able to snag some on Sunday. Anything else, cans will be gone by Saturday afternoon.

SGE could be the best session ipa I've ever had. It had so much flavor and good mouthfeel I would almost just classify it as an extremely hoppy pale. God wish I had got more 4-packs of this instead of the GD.

From what I can decipher its not the same hop profile as AGE. It seems a good deal of centennial is used in SGE. Centennial can impart a ton of flavor especially in small doses.

I would say near 100% unless it is some crazy type of DDH release. That looks like a quad release day. Last quad release SGE lasted, the one before was DDH all everything and bets are off, but before that SDW lasted, and on the recent Galaxy Motueka/GD release, GD lasted.

So, unless it looks to be an especially awesome release, you should actually be fine. Worst case scenario, you fill some growlers to take home.

Plus the expansion should be up and running so maybe more beer overall could last throughout the week?

Or tell me to stop dreaming :astonished:

Just had a can of Green Diamonds last night (first time trying the beer), and I have to agree with some of the previous comments - it was surprisingly malty, sweet, and syrupy with seemingly little hop flavor or aroma. Very curious to know if there was an issue with this batch or if this is just how the beer is, though I found it weak even in terms of "old school" IPAs. On the other hand, I do feel like some other high alcohol IPAs have come across like this to me before.

While we're on an oddsmaking bender, what are the odds of four packs being available Saturday at noon? You know, to avoid waiting in the 10am line? How long should one expect to wait in the 10am line for a release like the one they're having this week (relatively quiet, according to someone on the previous page)?

Factoring in the current weather forecast:

    Any cans - 82%

    Both cans - 58%

Id say 68% at noon. If you were to go at 11am I would up those odds to 90%, 11-11:30 seems to be the sweet spot for Other Half release. Too small of a sample size of these every other week 2 can releases to say for sure.

Anyone want to speak to the Mosaic + Motueka? I generally really like the 2 hop doubles, but haven't tried this one. Is it more trop hop Mosaic-ey or more lime candy Motueka?

stopped in @ OH last night to try the recently release DDH beers they had (all good-great), but the surprise of the night was the Short, Dark & Wired..wow!...so much better than Short, Dark & Handsome...like miles better!

I stopped by last night, too. Was able to sit down, try everything that I missed in cans, get a growler off DDH ACE and a bottle of Cane Life. So pleasant.

There are a ton of can releases in and around Brooklyn this weekend, interboro, Greenpoint, Threes, LIC, I think 85% chance cans are available after 12 at OH this Saturday.

I had it on draft in the past a the the pony bar - UES. I had it back to back with mosaic+waimea.
I really really really loved mo+mo. very tropical. I gave it a 4.5 overall. amazing combination, probably my favorite 2-hops OH

( I was not equally enthusiast for the latter, pure onion. just too grassy for me)

For those of you that regularly hit the releases (I haven't been since Broccoli), and are buying for just yourself, how much beer do you consume on a weekly basis? All the releases since my last one have sounded amazing, but I'm still working my way through my last visit (last can of Broccoli in the fridge for tonight), not to mention all the other NYC brewers, and I haven't been able to pull the trigger on a visit in a long time.

This is not mean to be judgmental, just to clarify. I'm genuinely curious.

Well I don't hit releases regularly, probably 2 a month and not just OH, I spread it around. But I seem to always acquire a shit ton of beer, especially from my local store and have probably 100 stouts I've been working my way through for a long time. Not to mention all my homebrew (I do two 5 gallon batches a month minimum). I probably drink anywhere from 12-32 oz a night, usually a beer while cooking dinner and another beer (or two) while watching Isles/Knicks/Mets (go ahead, laugh at my shit teams) depending on the time of year. I just eat healthy and workout every day. Otherwise, I'd probably be 300 lbs.

I don't drink Monday through Thursday (unless I'm going out to dinner on a week night). I'll either drink Friday or Saturday or both. So I'd say I consume about 6-7 beers a week. I go to releases pretty regularly. Some back to back then I'll take a break and drink what I have. But whenever I go to OH I hardly ever buy more then one of one type of beer.

Hardly ever more than 1 4pack or 2 cans of a beer for myself. Sometimes skip beers. Generally if I buy more, I'm buying for friends that can't be in line, or for a trading partner that wants some of a particular beer and asks me. I'm never waiting in line to buy a shitton of beer just to auction it off on the internet for something later.
