Firestone's David Walker visiting NYC 1/26-27

    Firestone Walker's Owner and Founder David Walker will be in town next week, and we have set up 2 really awesome events. He's a really personable and friendly guy, come on down and havea rare beer and conversation with him.



    Thursday, 1/26 at Fraunces Tavern, 5-8 pm
    Parabola 2015
    Velvet Merkin 2015
    Krieky Bones 2015 (sour red ale with cherries, hasn't seen NYC before)
    Walkers Imperial Porter (bourbon barrel aged porter, hasn't seen NYC before)
    XVIII Anniversary blend
    Wookey Jack (retired, The last keg in the city)
    Other mainstays

    Friday 1/27 at Coopers Chelsea, 5-8 pm

    I believe its 8-10 oz pours on the big ones and 16 on the sessionable beers.

    Great event, thanks for putting it together and announcing it here. Wish when there were a bunch of the high abv beers bars would do smaller pours, 5 ounces would be perfect. Gives opportunity to try as many of big ones as possible.

    Anyone still at deciccos? Looks like they've still got everything on tap even though the bar area is crowded. Met David Walker. Great dude. He's taking time to talk to each and every group of people. Very cool. The best event I've ever been to. Only one even in the same conversation is the gi cellar raid at the cannibal in December 2015.

    I am not sure if it was Mucinex or Brady + hot water + black pepper + ginger + honey or the cocktail of it....but I bounced back...should be able to pound some beers this weekend :slight_smile:
