Nothing I can think of off the top of my head anymore. Im line life retired. I find it much easier to just trade for the beer as opposed to fighting a crowd and waiting hours on end for it in freezing temps.

It helps if it's a naked silver can with only a sticker

It's funny, I thought their bottled pale ale, Clink, was absolutely delicious. Of course, they stop making it and just do these releases now. Oh, and another reason these Sole releases are popular? The fact that they (allegedly) allow drinking in the line. Every Sole can release chatter I heard while in line for the last two Hands releases mentioned this, how it was such a good time, bottles were being cracked, etc etc. I guess after slaying a few whales in line, TurboNerd tastes like Jesus tears to a bunch of dick waggers.

That is the part I don't like. Encourage people to get there 4 hours early for FOMO. But he said that even if there are 500 people in line at 830 when he counts, sales start at noon. If you want people there early, get your helpers there early so people can get on their way.

You have to do the math once you get back all your trades. 4 hours in one line means you don't have to spend 4 hours at Hoof Hearted, Tree House, Tired Hands, Monkish...etc etc...

Yeah not only am I not going to pay $20 for a 4-pack of IPA, I'm not going to turn that into costing $30 by mailing the beer around to other people.

Of course that's a great scheme by these breweries. Sell direct to consumers at retail prices (pocket the 2 tiers worth of markup), yet still get the benefit of distribution when the customers decide to pay for it themselves!

It's like the less fun version of Smokey and the Bandit.

This may test the hype machine. It's *gasp* a lager! Granted, they are countering this with the "extra hoppy" and "hazy" language.

But the Tired Hands fandom has wilted every time they've released a German styled Lager.

I was thinking the same thing. That trendler pils is really good though.

Have you had Jack’s Abby beers like Hoponius Union or Kiwi Rising? There is nothing German about those lagers.

    Cheers!

Yes I've had the Hoponious Union, and it could pass for an IPA. But a lot of beer geeks seem to treat "lager" like a dirty word, I think simply because of the association with American Adjunct Lagers and bland industrial beer. Blind to the fact that there are plenty of flavorful and tasty lager styles out there. And they can even be big and bold - beers like Aventinus and Samichlaus.

On a side note - Jack's Abbey does make some good traditional lagers too like Smoke & Dagger and the House Lager.

I am a BIG fan of Smoke & Dagger and since you like the Schwartzbier style I can see why you would like it to.

I am personally not a fan of the House Lager but it is a cleanly produced beer.

    Cheers!

Looks like they called out the local news:

Yes, the B-roll footage in the above video shows a table in the parking lot covered in open bottles and cans.

Reading some of the reviews on Untappd. It's rated high but seeing a lot of "underwhelming" "carbonated orangeade" "orange soda" and "chalky orange soda" to "juicy" and "juice bomb"... I would still give it a try but won't make any effort to track down.

I went to the first Turbo Nerd release, good beer and only a short line. I think that was only their 3rd release (correct me if im wrong). Ever since then it has exploded and I still cant figure out why. Ive had regular Juice Box and my review is "eh." Definitely nothing that releasing a DDH version would make me get up early for. Im not saying their beer isnt good, or that I would pass it up if it was given to me or I see it in a store, but very very few beers are worth that time in line. Good Good was my favorite beer they have done to date and I still dont know why they haven't made it again!!

Also, case limits on limited releases are just stupid and only promote trading. Honestly you dont need more than 8 tall boy cans of a hoppy beer that wont taste the same in 2 weeks. Case limits and waiting hours in line for the trade game is pathetic. So if you're into that, well then, I will just quietly laugh at you from over here

Problem is, you typically need those beers that you have to wait in line for as trade bait to be able to get anything good in return.

So much good beer is distributed normally to the Philadelphia area you shouldn't have to wait in lines for trade bait. But I admit to not being too up on the trading scene, because I don't bother with it. Personally, I think Pennsylvania's distribution is so good that one must have a severe case of FOMO to stand in long lines, mule, trade, etc.
