Heist should be located in Mass they're making NE IPAs so well

Do they distribute? I'm in the Triangle area and don't get to Charlotte often.

Edit: checked their FB, looks like they are following the juicy IPA hype train, doing limited can releases. So far this is only reinforcing my notion that i should open a brewery and make hazy ipas in the triangle area.

They recently announced that they are building a production facility. Hopefully whenever they complete that, they will be able to keep up with demand. While they have become known for their NE IPAS, they also make one of the best stouts in the state, Cataclysm. Their rencent dives into sours have all been really good. Shit man, just about everything do is worth seeking out.

Big OH fan here and finally got to try the OH/Burial juice bar collab tonight. I agree.. it's just ok. Sure doesn't taste double dry hopped, at least compared to what OH and Trillium DDH beers have been tasting like.

Looking forward to checking out Beer Study when in town next month and peruse for some of these suggestions I've read above.

Count me in the minority I guess but I'm a fan of the Burial/Other Half Wallet collab. I picked up 8 and have drank two, which I enjoyed immensely. The new Bond Brothers Local variant (forget which hops) is really good as well and in the hazy NE style. Almost as good as the Chinook/Jade variant, which is my favorite to date.

Off-topic but RVA has some terrific IPAs. Hit Triple Crossing, Veil, and Answer today and Veil's Fake Love along with Answer's Mind Games are phenomenal. Falcon Smash also really good and reminiscent of the best Burial Ceremonials with a bit more heft.

I actually went to Heist this weekend for the first time, had Not From Concentrate. It was damn good.

Picked this up yesterday and had one last night.. I thought it was great. Not a thick hazy juice bomb, but more of a compromise between west coast and NE IPAs, at least in my opinion.

The craziest thing about this is that NFC V9 is one of the weaker ones of the series!

Yeah I had it this weekend and thought it was solid, but not as good as the other Heist IPA's I've had. Juicy Jay beat it out for my beer of the weekend.

Is anyone else surprised That WW hasn't gotten in on the juicy IPA game yet? Lord knows they have the production and operations to put forth something impressive and stay on trend. Don't get me wrong I enjoy pernicious when I have it, but don't actively seek it out unless I have friends coming into town and I want something fresh for them. Why not utilize their resources for something that everybody wants instead of trying to make every variation of fruited sour beer that just gets lost on the shelf with the other 30 sours on there at any one time? /end rant

I had the passion fruit IPA from BB this past weekend and I thought it was delicious despite its mixed reviews. Nice bite at the end, but a ton of passion fruit especially in the nose. Honestly, all 4 beers I had from them this weekend were spectacular.

Glad they're not. Lets not oversaturate the market. Not to mention they make some of the best west coast style IPA around. I am rather glad they are not.

I think WW just prefers the more classic west coast style. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw a hazy IPA in their taproom at some point, but doubt they will do one in big distro. People aren't going to stop buying Freak and Pernicious any time soon I don't think.

I think WW is more focused on expanding thier distribution footprint, and juicy NE IPA are just not made to travel and sit on trucks for a few weeks.

I've stopped trading them for any IPAs up there. I can only drink so much of the Juicy IPAs, and Heist isn't TH but it's hard to justify paying for trading (plus the inevitable mark up that TH/Trillium traders expect).

They have had hazy NEIPAs on tap before but they sucked. It wasn't a very good attempt at the style. I think if they seriously wanted to do it though they could.

I too was let down with the Burial/Other Half Juice Bar... thought their first go with Prismatic Eye was much better last year. Burial is my favorite brewery in town by far (Asheville local)... Massacre of the Innocents is my pick for their top IPA... very hazy, juicy and soft mouth feel. One of the bartenders said they do plan to can it in the future. Gang of Blades is a fantastic DIPA, super juicy but in my experience it really fades off quickly after 3-4 weeks... clears up, more amber in color, turns into a different beer IMO. I prefer Hawkbill over Surf Wax. And Ceremonial... one of the better session IPA's around (I've turned a few 100% anti-session IPA drinkers into loving that).

With all of WW's resources, I am surprised they haven't jumped on the NEIPA hype train yet... maybe they will coming up now that they are canning...?
