I'm deathly afraid of hand washing glasses after having one shatter on me when I was running my hand with a sponge in it. It was a jagged and nasty cut that took a couple stitches from the ER. Didn't get home until after midnight. I have big hands too so when I used to buy glassware for beer it had to pass the hand test. By that I mean can I stick my hand in it and touch the bottom. The Hoarders snifter opening is too small to pass.

As far as openers go I still use a Bud Light bar blade. I love the contradiction of using a product with the Bud name to open world class craft beer.

I totally concur. I had to drain pour mine versus finishing the bottle. Got through maybe 1 glass. I have two more that will sit for a couple of years. Who knows.

This is probably in this thread somewhere, but I was not able to find it. Is Mash & French Toast Reserve Society-only, or will it hit distro like Mash & Vanilla, etc?

It says on the website that it's a Reserve Society exclusive, so it won't hit distribution. I would imagine that it might hit shelves in the next year or two if it sells well.

Can't wait to hear more details about the upcoming Funky Buddha collab that was mentioned in their release calendar.

Indeed. I thought it sounded awesome at release. Just didn't carry over. Felt like they mailed it in a little with that one. Hope the ba version is better.

Kinda curious who will be doing the label art, and if FunkyBuddha gets to, if Bruery will allow the penis on the label.

Anyone have a guess on what the Frucht beers will be? From the release calendar, it obviously includes boysenberry, cherry, passion fruit, and blueberry, but I can't seem to make out the last two. Maybe lychee and blackberry? What do yall think?

It usually hits reserve the following year (so this year).

Here's the thing thou, B1 isn't very good. It's not even on the same playing field as PH&J BT they had in the tasting room. It's typical hot, fresh BT with minimal PB flavor. I haven't met a single person yet who was blown away by it.

Don't get me wrong, it's still BT so the beer itself is great. But if you're looking for something with a ton of PB flavor, it just isn't there.

Odd, I have gotten a significant amount of PB flavor from each bottle I have opened. It does take a bit since it needs to warm, but each one has been quite delicious.

Very strange. Maybe bottle variation? I've opened maybe 8-10 bottles via various shares and not a single person got a bunch of PB off it. Hell, I've had people who work at the bruery admit to me that they didn't get a ton of PB off it.

Might be a comparison issue - if you've not had too many PB beers, perhaps you notice it more. If you've had loads of good PB stouts, maybe it pales by comparison?

I generally hate PB stouts but liked the PB & T because the peanut taste isn't strong like most PB beers

It probably has as much peanut flavor as Grey Monday has hazelnut flavor. I remember really having to let GM warm up before the hazelnut becomes prevalent.

I haven't had PB&T yet, but I always get good hazelnut flavor out of GM. I don't drink any of these beers cold though, nor are they kept cold and them warmed up. Room temp, always.
