    Doing a side-by-side tonight, all in the name of science:

    They're similar in appearance, but Cumulus is definitely more hazy (look near the base of the glasses). In terms of other qualities, this batch of Charlatan is pretty consistent with others I've had. Two things really stand out in this comparison, though. First, @HouseofWortship nailed it with the carbonation. It's really prominent compared to Cumulus. Second, it has a very dry finish. It's a clean profile. Cumulus is pretty much the same as the last batch I had. Maybe there's a little more orange, a little less grapefruit, but we're getting into "splitting hairs" territory.

    Final verdict: Charlatan has some haze, and it's a solid APA, but if you're really expecting something like an NE-style beer, prepare to be disappointed.

    All this Charlatan talk got me to go buy a 4 pack. I've never had it and have always thought about getting it, but never did. Binny 's had cans dated 1/10, so I figured it was a good time to give it a shot.

    Crushinator was so freaking good. A perfect summer beer. It's what opened my eyes that Maplewood had products worth purchasing.

    I had no idea it was a one off canning and went looking for it everywhere after Nick at beer temple recommended it.

    Couldn't agree more - Crushinator was a great beer last summer and completely flew under the radar. My only issue with Maplewood has been canning dates - I don't remember them being on there last year, but it seems like they've finally got them on cans.

    Agree with the positive feedback for Crushinator, but please Maplewood, there is no need to haze it up the next time it's made. :wink:

    Having a fresh Cirrus on tap at Hailstorm, it's very good!! I would post a pic but not sure how to post it here on beer advocate through my phone. Great taste, very hazy.. Almost looks like orange juice

    Alright people, we'll need full reports both on Cirrus' quality as compared with the other clouds, and whether or not those oats cut down on the hop flavor! Get moving!

    The oats wouldn't cut down on hops flavor, they would make the beer crisper and lighter which should make the hops even more prominent...
