I think the Sosus was pretty fresh (within a month; I don't specifically remember). You have to understand, mosaic, while my second favorite hop, is significantly below citra in terms of personal taste. I really like mosaic a lot, but citra almost single-handedly makes a lot of beers for me. So saying Sosus didn't blow me away is partially a statement on the hop; if you look at my review of the beer (I had to, to remind myself), I said it's one of my fave mosaic beers (which given the prevalence of mosaic, is high praise). I really liked it, it's just not one of the TG beers I actively want.

In terms of PS, I actually prefer fresh cans to fresh Zombie Dust. Blasphemy? Maybe. But there you have it.

 

I thought Thresher was good, but the wheat IPA I'd had most recently before that was Mikerphone's Shimmy and I liked that significantly better.

 

Will report back on Binnys Grand later this afternoon unless people are trekking at lunch.

Btw, any FIB that wants to drive 90 minutes north I'm swimming in TG hop bombers. Come get some!

Bloomingdale Binny's said they'll be getting their shipment around 5pm (was hoping they'd have it by lunch). Didn't leave empty handed though, Drago and Sump came in today

This happens all the time in my hometown of Dubuque. I'll be back visiting, be excited to see Zeelander and it's the same bombers from several months ago. I feel bad for people who's first taste is of beer that old. While it's still okay, it's not doing it justice as all.

 

Lincolnwood Binny's has 4 pack cans of Psuedo, dated 12/20 I think. I passed b/c I don't even like the bottled version, but seemed like they have a fair amount.

 

Bg binnys limit 1 4pk 9.99, probabaly had about 4-5 cases up front

 

I'm slightly surprised that they're not sending the latest batch of PS cans (I think @HawkeyeBeerLover mentioned there being a January batch). Given that my "bad" cans were from 12/20, I'd have loved them to ship some newer ones (not that I assume all the 12/20s were bad).

 

Well the cans I had that were from January didn't have the Field Museum logo on them, so I'm not sure what date those guys are from. I hope they're not from 12/20...

 

The ones at Binny's (at least that I've seen on social media) are the traditional PS cans, which is what the 12/20s I've got are as well.
