Anyone 'in the know' if Melange #12 will be making an appearance/comeback in a new batch this year or anytime soon?

I sure hope so, I loved that beer.

Drank a White Mocha last night. After the coffee discussion last week I pushed all my bruery coffee beers up to the front to keep them cold. The White Mocha definitely had a pepper flavor going on for about half the bottle before it went away. Might have been a bit too cold too since I keep my beer fridges between 45-50. Depedning on when I finish this exam for my masters I might crack a 2016 Mocha Weds to see how it held up to being at room temp.

I was paranoid after reading about all the broken glasses in this thread, but successfully used & washed my pair today.

I didn't find them to be any more delicate than most higher end glassware

My glass did great tonight. Melange #15 however got dumped. I tried hard to finish it but damn it was not right. Bottle opener worked good but I was super careful, I think two minutes to open a beer is a bit much.

I was hoping to have the same result but I opened one of my M15 last night and it was for sure infected, it was getting quite tart. :slight_frown:

The bruery opener has been fine so far until today. Tried to open a 12oz Bottle, and instead of the cap coming off...It ripped part off part of the glass. (The cap is still stick to the glass). I don't think it was my fault, I'm not very strong, lol.

I wasn't going to take a chance in case glass fell inside the bottle. No big loss, just a shelf beer.

Kind of weird, hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.

The exact same thing happened to me as well. I knew I wasn't that strong!

    One more M15 report.

Same batch/date reported earlier in the thread.

Nose has fallen off, much more subtle with walnut standing out, with a slight off note, that I can best describe as stale nuts.

Taste, still very good, but adjucts are fading, walnut still dominant flavor, some vanilla and caramel and sweetness from the lactose.

    No sign of infection.

Stored in an dark closet, (65F summer, 55F Winter), moved to a beer fridge 50F when infection reports came in.

What time does the tasting room open on member Mondays?

Just wondering why people are even using the openers. They are obviously faulty and would have better luck using your teeth

I used to cringe when I saw people do that.

I'm not one to complain, typically. But not unlike when a batch goes bad and the Bruery comps our purchases, they should be doing something to make this right. Whatever value they consider the opener to equate to in our membership fee should be applied as a credit to our accounts...

It's a piece of junk tchotchke. It's not worth anything. It's just eating into their bottom line. It's not increasing our costs. They wouldn't charge any less if they just didn't even include it. And they'are not going to credit it us for it if it turns out not to be that usable (like the pin everyone seems to hate).

I'm shocked so many people are hellbent on using these things. It's not like most of us don't already have dozens of bottle openers and at least one "go to" favorite...

Edit--one caveat. If the crummy thing breaks a bottle of beer (rather than just breaking itself), then maybe they should do something about that.

Our opener broke a bottle and they credited us back the cost of it.
