No, I've made my piece and it is irrefutable. Currently they are the only ones charging $20+ for a 4 pack....

Not true. Monkish, Other Half, Trillium, Tired Hands and others have all charged $20 for 4-packs.

So pretty easily refuted there.

You're the guy who would have argued for Trillium to keep their beers in 750s because they were "cheaper" even though they were 33% more expensive per ounce of beer.

Cue the token bozo that always comes in to these arguments advocating for breweries to increase their prices to discourage muling and second hand mark-up! Maybe by next Tuesday we'll be seeing $30 4-packs! Yay!

Oh good, Trillium raised their prices since this debate 2 months ago after a cursory scan of their website. Guess the point is moot. Congrats on supporting escalating prices guys, $20 4 packs is the new reality. Hopefully the local Midwest brewers get the memo to increase their prices, it would be a shame if they all continue to under cut the market and make previously mentioned brewer look like they were profiteering.

A 750ml bottle going for $10 IS cheaper than a 4 pack going for $20....if you want to be the guy at the movies who buys a 64oz soda because it breaks down better on a price per ounce basis, be my guest- I only want to purchase what I will consume.

Yeah I was lamenting to the guy filling my growler (in a weird machine I hadn't seen in person before) that I missed Snoochie Boochies and he said they had bombers in their little fridge there. It was bottled on 1/9/17 so almost 3 weeks old but cold stored the whole time I'd imagine. It was pretty good though I liked Jacob a bit more. Snoochie had NE characteristics for sure despite its appearance of being a bit darker orange than is typical (still opaque).

Interesting. I was on my way out and a little confused by the growler setup, so I didn't even think to look around when I picked mine up.

Looks like Bitter Pops will have Lumberjack/Cirrus/Cumulus on tap Friday.

Of course I'll be out of town Friday.

Trillium's less frequent DIPA offerings are $20 or $22. Their regular stuff is still cheaper (as is Transients).

So you're willing to pay a premium for less liquid. That's great. That doesn't make it cheaper. Not only are the 4-packs cheaper per ounce, but they're a preferable size as well. I'd rather drink 16 ounces of something than 22 or 25. It's also much easier to share beer with friends in that format. I can snap off 1 can and give it to someone to try as opposed to having to buy another entire bomber.

Why not split a 4-pack with a buddy and pay $10 for 32 ounces of beer (that can be consumed in 2 sittings) instead of $10 for a bomber that has 22 ounces?

Yes it does make it cheaper a $10 750 ml bottle is cheaper than a $20 4 pack. It's basic math... If you want to get into a price per oz discussion then answer this, why don't you negotiate to purchase a truckload of the beer? That would probably halve the price of the beer for you.

Tell you what: next time JIL comes out, I'll sell you a can for $7. It's cheaper than most bombers out there and it's WAY cheaper than a 4-pack. It's a great deal!

Because a truckload of beer isn't a standard format of distributing beer. 64 ounces of beer is the same size as many growlers.

You are more than welcome to continue paying a premium for bombers of beer. I will continue to enjoy the actual cheaper option.

I sell 2 cans to some schlub in the parking lot for $10.

That way I get 32oz of beer for only $10.

    Eat it Cilizza.

I'm out after this post since I already kind of regret contributing...

We all make value propositions on beers. I don't like buying Eclipse, Cascade, Trappist ales and others because of their price points. You also don't see me going on a ***** against those breweries in multiple threads.

A lot of people would rather pay $20 for 64 oz of beer than $10+ for 22 oz or 750 ml. Obviously the market agrees since they didn't exactly sit on shelves. Can we all agree to leave it at that? It will make many threads better without this stuff.

Anyone who has cans of Juice Is Loose left is lucky. Just finished my last one this weekend and came away even more impressed than I was initially.

Meanwhile, the 12 dollar bottle of Marz DIPA I drank earlier tonight had no carbonation. Win some, lose some I suppose
