Looks like Hop Butcher is dropping another one?

If you look at their website it's actually 2 IPAs one of which is a NE DIPA (called - I want to Believe). The single is called Destination Moon but isn't designated NE.

Thanks for the heads up. I went there last night to check it out since I live only a few minutes away.

The positives: very nice appearance, good tropical aroma and quite a juicy taste.
The negatives: it's got a bit of a sharp bitter bite at the end, it's slightly undercarbed and the body is on the thiner side. But overall, this is quite enjoyable to drink. I can't remember who the brewer is but I feel like Shaun Bern's influence is all over it.

Ohh yeah, another positive is the funny label on the crowlers:

And from the looks of it they've also bought into that obnoxious "boss pour" shit, as well. :grimacing:

Normally I'd probably hold off on this beer since I wanna give HB a chance to work out their kinks, but if they release a beer referencing one of my all-time favorite shows (The X-Files), I feel obligated to hop (no pun intended) on the bandwagon.

Well, now you're just trolling him to suggest he could (*gasp*) make a friend to share with- stop talking common sense. Clearly having liquid in a format that can be split and saved easier between 2-4 people is the same as the brewery forcing you to buy multiple cases of beer just to try it at all. :astonished:

    I've got 1 can left.

They're bringing JIL is Hunahpu's Day. Normally I don't grab the local stuff when I'm at that fest, but I'd like to try it on draft.

Not feeling the boss pour pics? It's the best way to showcase how murky-hazy-dirty-orange juicy-pulpy-superior your beer has become

I would pretty much agree with your take on this. The main thing that popped out to me is it being fairly undercarbed. I read the details they had on it, but I forgot which 4 hops they put in this. It was an interesting mix, from what I remember.

And the brewer is Rob Tesmer. I would imagine he talked to Shaun and got some pointers. If you want to see what he's up to, he's on Instagram @ rob_the_brewer.

To catch up on a few others...

I thought Cirrus was pretty meh. As lots of people have said, the mouthfeel was really nice. But for me, the mix of hops led to an odd taste for me. Almost Belgian-y towards the finish. And that was with a totally clean palate. I opened the can probably 2 days after canning, so I'm going to try another one here in the next day or two to see if the flavor profile has changed any.

They definitely still had bottles of Snoochie Boochies at Forbidden Root since I had grabbed one too. I thought it was pretty good. It had a sweetness to it, similar to Juice is Loose. Maybe not at the top of the list, but it's certainly a solid choice.

I also grabbed a howler of Jacob Goes to Juicetown. (Side note: that filling machine up front is pretty damn cool.) I thought it was also a pretty solid choice. It didn't blow me away, but like Snoochie, it was very good and thought it was a solid representation of the style.

I'll have to check Rob's Instagram. Thanks for the handle info. As for the 4 hop mix, I wrote it down yesterday: Columbus, Galaxy, Amarillo and Motueka hops.

Forgot to post about it until now. I opened up my crowler of Right Up the Peach Boyee NE IPA from Noon Whistle this past Wednsday to share with a couple friends. One friend said it tasted like butter. The other said it had a mouthfeel like they brewed it with flour. For me, it wasn't right. It didn't taste the same from when I had it on tap at the brewery. And it's a shame cuz I loved it at the brewery. The great peach aroma had faded a bit, and I did get a weird mouth feel to it. Anyone drink a crowler of it and got anything similar?

Dang, that's really unfortunate that it had such a drop off. I actually cracked my last crowler of Funny Gummy a few days ago and it was just as good as it was on tap/a few days old.

When you say it didn't taste the same, do you mean most of the peach fell off? Or did it just become something totally different?

I'd say a combo of both. Wasn't as peachy as on tap and it had a doughy mouth feel and the taste wasn't right. My friend said it tasted like straight up butter. I felt like it had "hints of butter" lol

I was hoping to update you guys with Dank Meme by Triptych. Apparently my brother picked me up cans of it right before Christmas, and keeps forgetting to bring them when he comes back up this way. It's over a month old, so I'm hoping I'll actually get it some time soon and it hasn't turned into a big, malty mess :/

Opened my Noon Whistle crowler of peach Sunday night, 9 days old from canning. It was delicious, just as good as at the brewery. Wish I would have bought another one before it ran out.

I cracked my crowler of Peach Boyeee on Saturday - one week old - and the only difference I noted was that the peach was much more pronounced out of the crowler than on tap. I didn't notice any butter flavors ...

    I knew I liked you.

At least that pic had some head on the beer and room at the top of the glass. These no head beer /infinity pool beer pics drive me crazy. Who drinks beer like this?

If its the same batch of cans I grabbed before Christmas its more like 2 months old now. But its a great beer - just don't know how well it holds up since I drank it all by Christmas.
