In TG's defense, it's namesake is 25million years old so 1 month doesn't seem to old.

    Edit:
Damn, much like with beer releases in Chicago, Croush beat me to the punch.

I got my 4pk of Sue at Naperville Binnys around 30 mins ago. I was presented this beer and Sump by an employee from backroom. Perks of being a well known customer.

Picked up a 4 pack and it was very cool to see TG at Binny's. not gonna overreact to 5 week old beer one time. I will say if that became a norm then TG will be hot in Chicago for awhile but not for long. The market is too competitive here for that. Look no further than Todd the Axe Man being a shelf turd for an example of a great beer not being fresh enough for Chicago. (Price caveat of course)

Bought mine at the Algonquin Binnys. Was a little sketch of 5 week "old" Sue but to be honest, I don't care. $9.99 for a 4 pack of "old" beer that's probably better than a lot of crap covered in dust sitting on a shelf. Its nice not to have to cross the chedder curtain to grab any. If/when we get Iowa Sue or other variants then I'll be super pumped, but it's nice to see it in Chicago

I'll say it. The cans are not even in the same league as the PS bombers. Buddy brought home some cans from Wisky on the way home from Assassin Day. I struggled to finish it. PS in bombers is one of my favorite brews.

Well, if you're drinking similar cans to the ones I've got, then yeah, they're pretty shit, as the Brits say!

I have yet to pick up any PS, but seems like TG is following the same roll out plan to Chicago market as Short's did (dropping off older ipas).

Does anyone know if PS has the same dramatic drop in quality, in a short time frame, as Zombie Dust?

I bought a few month-old bombers of PS that were still excellent. It took me a couple of weeks to get to the last one too.

I try not to buy cans that old, but I haven't noticed a huge drop-off from the first to the last when I get them. It sounds like you might want to avoid this most recent batch based on some of the posts though.

Love the fact that TG is going to be part of Chicagoland distro but think they will have to do a better job than rushing to fill the shelves with 5 week old APA's. I already walk by month old IPA's/APA's on the store shelves and just because TG finally got here isn't going to change my mind on the purchase especially when I can get days old products from Rev, Hailstorm, PW, FFF, HA, etc.

Here's hoping the next drop is a little better so I can enjoy some Sue and whatever else comes down the pipe because I would really like to add them to the shopping list and have some in the mini-fridge.

The new cans are here. They're from the 1/5 batch (at least the ones I picked up), so not that much newer than the last batch that dropped here. Just an FYI

This last batch was especially bad. I had it vs the November batch side by side and the November kicked it's butt. Pretty surprised TG would jump into a new market with that batch. It was swill, like embarrassing.

You're referring to the canned batch from early January? Like 1/5 date on 'em or thereabouts?

New cans look sweet! Was that from a Binny's or somewhere else?
