They did. But calling an IPA West Coast or New England style is OK. smh

I picked up a 1/2 growler of Alesmith Mokasida Coffee stout at Pepper Pike Heinen's today. At 19 dollars, it better be good. Also grabbed a bottle of Barrel Aged coffee vanilla dark app.

As a side note, I felt like a hillbilly at that store. My Corolla probably looked like Fred Sanford's junk truck in that lot.

    lol!

I really liked Mokasida, a lot nuttier and earthier though than the Vietnamese.

Went to Fat Heads last night... Now I've been there 5/6 times over the last few years. Does the 'Potatoe Policy' annoy one else?

I'm ranting a little but... I really want some fresh cuts with my cheesesteak. Charge a danm dollar extra and let people choose. Don't let one persons pet peeve ruin tons of consumers meals.

Ok, rant over. Any one know why this is?

I'm intrigued, what's the potato policy?

    Potato policy is...

You can only get fries with a burger...

All other sandwiches come with FatHeads potato chips (which are quite good, especially if you get a fresh batch...)

Menu is very clear that you can't substitute fries with the other sandies... I do agree that maybe the way to go would be to add a $1 upcharge if you really need/want the fries.

Because no one would eat their chips if they had the option of fries

The chips used to be sooooo great when they first opened, then a couple years later they changed the seasoning on them and now they're pretty bad.

You do have the option of ordering fries as an appetizer. I know it is more money than a dollar, but if you want them you can get them.

Fuck yes! Always the day I look forward to when it comes to scratching my hop itch. Now the important question at hand....will Super Juicy be appearing as well? And will it be that day? Need my fix of that. Ok, I'm done using crackheads terms like "itch" and "fix", but this shit is super cereal.

I hope so. I am coming up next week. Haven't got to try super juicy yet.

From what I recall in the past, hasn't super juicy hit a week or two after the JuJu release? Perhaps my memory is fuzzy. Regardless, love the juicy!

Super Juicy was a top five beer of 2016 for me. I know the Saloon didn't have it on draft until 3-4 weeks after regular dropped. Was right before Easter last year, but that will obviously change with it being released a month earlier this year.

It was more like 2 weeks because I remember getting a growler from the saloon for a party I had on 2/27 and it had been on for a few days already. They may have put it on again before Easter, but I know regular was released at the taproom on 2/13 and the saloon had super juicy on tap by 2/27.

Either way, I'm just glad regular juju gets released next week!

This is usually a pretty rough crowd, so I have to admit, it always surprises me how excited ya'll get for a DIPA with fruit added. Lots of bars and breweries do this in various ways with all sorts of beers, whether via randalls, infusion towers, etc. Obviously Juju is in a class all its own, but still.

Naturally, this leads to the question, has anyone tried juicing their own Juju at home?

I also have to ask what you all think of beers like CitruSinensis, Tropicannon, etc. Again recognizing regular Juju is superior on its own. I haven't had Super Juicy but I feel like there's no way fruit juice would make Juju better.

    @Sabtos

Juicy JuJu is unlike any other fruited IPA I've had. They have it mastered. There really is something special about it flavor wise, it's one of the few beers I find worth the hype. Juiced Head Hunter is not nearly as good (if you have had that).

That being said, normal JuJu is equally as awesome!

I've only had Zest for Breasts as far as their citrus fruited beers go.

1/2 Super Juicy JuJu 1/2 Regular Juju > Regular JuJu > Super Juice JuJu > Citrusinensis, IMO

Although I like and drink all when available. Just wish Citrusinensis was back to a spring / summer release when I drink more Pales / IPAs

I'm with you on that--so many big name hoppy releases during colder months often stymies my preference of drinking stouts and bws during this time.

Yeah I'm thinking they put it on twice then. I know I went to the saloon the day they announced it was being tapped and have a checkin from 3/25.
