That's right. And the groomsmen are alllllllll worth it. :grinning:

I just walked into a local store near me and spotted 4 cases of BCBS Regular and Barleywine each! They're asking $15/bottle which seemed a little high to me, but I have never come across BCBS outside of Black Friday.

I just want to ask if others are finding leftover stock sitting around because I'm really considering going over and buying a case

That's not the worst price given the timing. Weren't regulars about $10 and variants about $12-$13? I'd grab some if you want to them.

Agreed. The beer was first released two months ago; at this point just finding it is going to be a little difficult. I'd personally pass at $15 a bottle only because I don't actively want more bottles at the moment, but it's not a terrible price for a beer that's dwindling in supply.

Double agree. A harrumph, you might say. BCBBW was $12.99 anywhere I found it, so that's not too much of a mark up at all there. I mean, it's definitely not worth getting shot over . "My" Binny's got 4 cases of BCBBW last week randomly. This was definitely a distributor drop. It was actually sitting on the shelf when I found it, which felt and looked weird. I bought some, just so others wouldn't have to have my same experience.

Sorry, Champaign. And no, I looked again today for fun and alas, all gone.

Side note: Yes, not 312 here, but potentially a shorter round-trip given the right traffic conditions for some BAs.

Uh, also, you can stop by Gumby's (horrible pizza, btw) for some Pokey Stix, which are basically what god would make if god were cooking cheesesticks.

I couldn't eat those unless I was drunk, back in the old college days when I thought Corona and Heineken were good beers.:stuck_out_tongue:

I would eat Pokey Stix every day if 1) Chicago had a Gumby's and 2) it wouldn't make me fat. Those are still the best "cheese bread/cheese sticks" I've had from a chain (sure, that doesn't mean much, but I think they're delicious. Or at least were when I went to U of I).

That pizza was always heinous, though.

Oops, off topic talking about food again! *sighs*

Anyway, I would imagine small shops probably still have BCS sitting around, but I'm surprised if any big chain stores have the bottles still.

    Drool.

Gumby's for Pokey Sticks and DP Dough were always my go-to, drunk, late night stops on the way home from the bars at ISU

Not the guy who commented, but there were reg and bw for 15/bottle at fresh market on western as of last week. Looks like they finally realized they weren't going to sell for 30...

Especially in Chicago, $30 is such a ludicrous price for a non-adjunct BA stout as relatively common as BCS. Even if you aren't finding better beers, you can certainly find something close enough, at like, half that price.

Regular, BW and Rare are sitting at a corner mart on Broadway and Oakdale. $14 for Reg and BW and $200 for Rare....

I'd pay 14 a pop for both. The Rare, however.....c'mon, man!
