I bought two four packs, and I'm digging it this year! Flavorwise, the 2017 feels like a cross between 2015 and 2016, which is nice because I preferred '15 to '16. The 2016 tasted a bit more heavy and dank, and it really emphasized the ABV in a way that I didn't like as much. I'll definitely pick up some more before it's gone!

I will no longer buy any of your beers since I have no idea when they are canned, the best by period seems to differ with each beer. Please go to a canned on date.

Good to know. I am going to get some regardless, but did think they missed the mark last year - too rounded and heavy. I prefer the hoppy pop that it had previously.

Still haven't seen this in the Southeastern PA area (Wegman's, KOP, etc). Hope to find it soon!

Saw it at my local SE PA beer distributor last week selling 4 packs with the new law.

"Hoppy pop" is a great way to describe it!

I like it as always. But there is something about last year I liked better that I can't quite put my finger on. I would never describe this as a "juicy" beer, but there were some fruit notes I picked up last year that I don't quite get this go. Call me crazy, but I remember an almost cherry note last year. It was rounded but still packed a massive hop punch with a robust profile.

I think most people prefer this one more dank, which I think it is this year (maybe I'm wrong, entirely possible). I feel it's more like 2015's batch (from what I recall) than 2016. Still really good, bought a bunch, but I think I liked last year's a bit better. Could very well be my palate is off or changed and might not be a reflection on the beer at all.

I still buy new Sixpoint releases, but I find myself passing on their year-round beers for this reason. I don't like to stand in the aisle and google to find out how fresh a beer is. I'd definitely down a lot more Bengali and sweet action if they had canned-on dates!

Grabbed my [first] 2017 4-pack last night. Kudos for not resting on your laurels @Sixpoint. My review has been updated accordingly.

Edit 2.0 (2/2/17): Another tweak yields another update to my review. They made a great beer even better. Taste maintains a smooth medley of tropical fruit, bitter citrus, floral notes, and resinous pine. But the mouthfeel seems improved. It's almost completely devoid of the syrupy, cloying malt presence that plagues the vast majority of 9%+ IPAs. Absolutely outstanding, and definitely among my favorites in the style.

I was a fan of both the 2015 and 2016 versions but not the 2017.
The one that I purchased had a really strong overripe pineapple flavor that was too distracting for me. Maybe my tastebuds were off that night, but it was the only beer I had that day, so who knows.

Very much enjoyed this year's batch. One of the best IPAs I've had in a while.

@Sixpoint That's great. I'm still not going to whip out this chart and stand in the beer aisle counting backwards to figure out when your stuff was canned when there are plenty of other options out there that put their "canned/bottled on" dates easily to see.

I'm a fan, but I waste enough time trying to figure out what beer I want to buy everytime I go to the beer store. Not adding in more work!
