Super Bowl beers

Well, I live a 10 minute drive from Trillium, and I'm a Patriots fan so I'm gonna grab a couple 4 packs of whatever seems desirable

 

I nearly bought one or two of those yesterday.... I'm visiting my college town and plan on doing some drinking. At $2 for 19.2fl oz of good IPA, that's hard to beat. While I don't encourage that format, I like to see it. Enjoy and cheers!

 

Tree House Very Green at kickoff. Not sure of the rest just yet, but will probably include brews from my last Alchemist haul and the cellar.

 

I will be at a all day into the night big party, and I will be drinking an obscene amount of Bud / Bud Light. Going for quantity over quantity this weekend. Cheers

Ill probably start my day down at Brew Gentlemen (Pittsburgh) who are brewing straight up awesome NE style IPAs right now. Ill drink a Legendary Weapons there and then bring growlers home filled with Mammoth & General Braddock. Then crack open either my Prop '16 or Black Gold. I just want a good game, Im not cheering for either team!

 

Lagunitas 12th of Never....I've got a few cases in the fridge, and will be drinking all day.

Honestly, I don't understand people that are posting high ABV or heavy dark beers...I love them...but this is the Super Bowl....nachos, chips, wings, etc...

After mulling it over, I think a sixer of anchor steam would be perfect for sunday.

 

I'm thinking Central Waters Brewers Reserve Bourbon Barrel Barleywine. Not rare, just fantastic.

 

Super bowl is the one day each year I have a bunch of beer geek friends over and open up the cellar to whatever. Nothing is off limits tomorrow

Not sure if I will make it through a can of each, but I'll be damned if I'm not gonna try!

 

Picked up several 36 packs of Coors and Tecate at $19 a piece. Bring on the party! The rest can go into the pantry and last out the rest of the month, and more. Seems like all the stores are throwing the adjunct lagers out the door at incredible prices here in Las Vegas. Just hope folks realize there are going to be a lot of DUI checkpoints up as well. Stay safe all and do not drink and drive!

Neshaminy Creek Croydon Cream Ale for the game, and probably some kind of barleywine or imperial stout for a nightcap. I picked up a six of Dogfish Head Namaste for my mom and gf, so I'll probably have a couple of those as well.

 

To honor the location of the game I'll start with some Yellow Rose by Lone Pint (brewed in Magnolia, TX near Houston). I'll try some version of Sam Adams (maybe Rebel IPA) to support the Patriots and some version of Sweetwater (Hashbrown) to support the Falcons.
