Unfuckingbelievable, wasting all our collective time!

 

Hops on Hops was limit 1 x 64 oz growler per person as of yesterday afternoon.

The beer itself is really really good. I wish they filled 32 oz growlers

 

Nice! I knew the growler was too much for the small share I was bringing it to so I filled a couple flip tops for other friends who weren't able to get to Ram. #BeerItForward

Also did a share of all six bottled Side Note stouts back in December. My ranking was:
1. Meh He Coco
1. S'More Luv
1. Gimme Samoa
1. Brewtella
5. OG Meh He Coco (30-bottle run)
6. ChocoLatte

Yes, that's a four-way tie for first.

 

Just to confirm, are growler fills of Hops on Hops long gone?

 

Not sure about long gone. I was there on Wednesday night and they were still filling them.

Ram wheeling just released sharks with laser beams in crowlers

 

Do you know if it's only the Wheeling location?

 

Yes wheeling only

 

What type.of beer is it?

 

It's an NE style DIPA with Columbus, Galaxy, Amarillo and Motueka hops. Very nice hazy appearance, tropical juicy aroma and taste, but maybe slightly undercarbed and not as much body as you would expect out of 8+ ABV. I like it. Picked up two crowlers and will likely pick up another tonight. I posted photos of the beer in the Chicago NE IPA thread.

 

Is there anything going on at the Wheeling RAM this Saturday? I'll be about 20 mins away from it so I'm tempted to stop down. Anything worth driving down for to grab a growler/crowler of? Not too familiar with the Wheeling store.

 

They will probably still have that 'Sharks With Laser Beams' NE style DIPA on draft and in crowlers. I was there on Tuesday and they still had 8 kegs left at that point. Its overall solid.

If it's not far out of the way for you, I'd say it's worth a stop for it.

 

New Citra hopped NE IPA coming from Shaun sometime next week. Really looking forward to it. I know some big Citra hopped fans that will be especially excited by that (looking at you @kdawgmoney )

Don't really know much yet. Shaun posted a comment on his Untappd account yesterday: "I'll have a new IPA early next week with some fresh citra thats tasting really nice." It was in a response to guy commeting that he really liked and wanted more Juicy.

 

We got official word now:

 

Hmmm....I was gonna make a stop at Noon Whistle tomorrow for some Funny Gummy, maybe I need to swing into Schaumburg now as well!

 

Nice! I'm going to assume showing up at noon will still get you some, if it's anything like Morning Fog. Although that was 4-packs, so who knows how many crowlers were canned (unless they're filling/sealing them on the spot tomorrow)
