Any chance that the maple stout lasts til the weekend?

It was served very cold, so it took a while to warm and open up, but once it did I found it to be very enjoyable.

Nose: Fairly subtle, maple being the most obvious, but you did pick up coffee, base, and some vanilla.

    Taste:
Cold. MAPLE! Tons of nice maple flavor without being cloyingly sweet and vanilla complimenting it nicely. Coffee was pretty much absent when cold, but would become more assertive once warmed. Fairly bitter dark chocolate finish, actually pretty intense at first taste, borderline offensive.

    Warm.
Maple is still very much present and is the predominant flavor upon initial tasting, but it is not as dominant as the coffee becomes more pronounced, creating a nice sweetened vanilla coffee flavor to the maple. The bitter finish has become much more subdued and more pleasant with a nice milk chocolate component balancing out the bitter dark chocolate notes.

Solid offering. Seek it out if feasible. I hesitate to say it's better or worse than X or Y, but judged on its own merits, it's definitely an enjoyable beer.

Just visited for the first time - from what I can tell, this is a restaurant that also happens to brew beers and so their hours seem consistent with a lunch/dinner/brunch spot and not a brewery.

    | BOTTLE RELEASE |

...will be at 12pm PST Tuesday 2/7/17.

    Link: abnormal.beer/release

Bottle limit is 2 PER PERSON

Brewed in collaboration with Superstition Meadery and Mostra Coffee, "Goodbye Tomorrow" is the Imperial Honey Stout interpretation of Superstition's "Date Night", a mead made with Belgian candi sugar, coffee and dates. To boost the complexity, we added a touch of Ugandan vanilla beans. We also applied an extended boil to create additional viscosity, similar to that of mead. This big beer is made to be shared because if consumed individually, you might as well say to yourself "Goodbye Tomorrow".

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PURCHASING
    1) You are able to purchase up to 2 bottles per person. If you try for more you'll have to correct it in your cart and it'll slow your order down; allowing those that follow the rules to make their purchases faster; which means there's less available beer for you by the time you make your corrections and check out. So play by the rules [IMG]

    2) Bottles can be picked up beginning Wednesday February 15th through the close of business on Sunday March 12th, 2017. Any bottles not retrieved by Sunday March 12th, 2017 will be surrendered back to the brewery without exception.

    3) By purchasing this product you are agreeing that you are over the age of 21.

    4) The purchaser MUST be the one picking up and signing for the bottle(s). Absolutely no proxies. By purchasing, you are certifying that you are at least 21 years of age. You must present a valid ID matching the name on the order. No exceptions.

    5) Your order receipt MUST be printed and present at pickup in order to receive your bottle(s).

I was really hopping no one would post about this... well, time to see if I can't code a program to buy this in half a second.

Shopify is actually a bit of a pain in the ass to script against. With as basic as it is I thought it wouldn't be an issue but I am actually closer to getting my script functional with the multi popups on Eventbrite than I am with Shopify.

Ugh, if it's not related to machine learning, my coding skills are decent at best. From what you've said, I'll probably just have to purchase a bottle manually.

I noticed that there's the option to pay via Paypal or through a credit card. Do you know if one would be a faster checkout than the other?

I couldn't tell you which one is faster tbh. I always go via CC and have always gotten their releases. A few friends always go PayPal and have gotten all their releases as well.

So six to one, half dozen the other.

Doubt it's necessary with a 2pp limit, All of the Lights lasted forever

The dates and Belgian candi sugar will undoubtedly slow the sales down on this.

Why? Genuine question, I've only just got into beer.

It's Abnormal so it'll most definitely sell out due to batch size. But the kind of beer nerds that go crazy for these releases tend to shy away from these ingredients. In stouts they only care about vanilla, coffee, cinnamon, nibs, etc. Adding dates and Belgian candi sugar won't be as well received. Unfortunately it doesn't seem as though the nerds appreciate experimentation, it won't trade unless it already has a reputation of being a whale.

Yup. Most beer nerd trade brahs definitely aren't interested in dates.

Anyone have an idea of the ABV on Goodbye Tomorrow? I hate when they don't list this.

Does anyone know what the price will be? I don't know why they don't list it on the website like everyone else does

Likely the same as the past releases.. $24-26ish per bottle.

    Those ingredients aren't cheap.
