If it wasn't for WBAYDN, it probably never would have occurred to me to drink my breakfast beer out of a offee mug (I'm not really a think-outside-of-the-glass kind of guy). I've gotta say though, it does enhance the whole breakfast beer experience.

Good Afternoon BAs,

Having a Deschutes Inversion IPA to start off Saturday. I really like this beer. I was a bit surprised (in a good way) by it's big malt profile. Takes me back to the more balanced IPAs when it wasn't all about being a hop bomb. It also has that sticky hop oil profile that I really enjoy. Definitely putting this on the rotation.

Thanks, no pain at all, prednisone is quite the short term miracle drug. Every body pain goes away, it opens your lungs too. But sleeping for a day or so is kinda wierd. I only took 5 mg of Valium with the bourbon so it safe. Awake for 27 hours now actually feel good, went out and got a new Moasic Double IPA from a local Brewer, great stuff.

Session IPA from SKA and some lamb sausages

look: 3.75 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

Light golden color with white cap.

Aroma of mild malt and floral, citrusy hops which together give off a slight honeyed sweetness.

Taste is malt driven on entry with hop sharpness blooming mid palate leading to a tingly hop bitterness in the aftertaste.

Medium texture with enough body for the style.

A likable, approachable personality without a lot of depth. This is a thrust quenching crowd pleaser that is recognizably above average without making any demands, a plain vanilla pilsner as it were. There's enough complexity to make it interesting but not enough to excite much comment. A genial food accompaniment that I would give to a white wine fan who wanted to try a beer.

Beer #3. Gulping down another pour of Mango Magnifico before heading out to the movies. Not sure how I will finish the entire 64oz of this...but for $5, it's worth the gamble.

 

This brewery is closing in on 1,000 years of existence. Since 1040, think about it.
