Boxer is releasing this upcoming Sunday and Wednesday. 50 cases available (each day), 1 case per person.

So there could potentially be only 50 people to get some? I'm sure that won't be the case, as some/many won't buy a case. But a case per person strikes me as a high limit when there are only 50 cases.

But if you put low limits, people don't turn out, because they aren't going to drive 1.5+ hours for 2 packs.

A hard balance. But a case limit is going to entice people to drive.

I am curious how things are going at Transient right now. But when they say "we'll set limits based on how the line looks" is a crazy statement to me. Don't let the people in the beginning buy a case each, then all the sudden decided it is 2-3 packs per person. And be up front with your limits. I'm not going to drive 2 hours, and there be a line, and then you say it's 2 packs per. That's a waste of time and gas.

Also to note, Sunday is starting at 9am and Wed at 11.

I'd be kind of nice for them to do it wednesday at like 4 or 5...

Transient has a 2 case limit right now for either beer.

I just left too. I guess there's a lot? If everything is out in the floor. I'd say a good amount. No line...I didn't max on either.

Enjoyed my quick visit to Transient today while visiting with friends/family in michiana. But think I liked cromulent better than JIL. As someone who gets easy access to Pulpit rock and toppling Goliath, I was hoping to be more impressed than I was. Don't get me wrong, very much enjoying my JIL and cromulent, just not as amazing as I hoped.

I love JIL, but if you're looking for Midwest NE IPAs you have to try out Narrow Gauge

Whatever they have been doing appears to be working as far as limits and they update and post future limits at the end of the evening. You can't assume that everyone in the front of the line buy their full allotment either, so by changing limits as the sale progresses it ensures that people didn't waste a trip by not getting beer while ensuring that the beer gets sold while still fresh.

But then I'd have to deal with the BFIB

Haha, well this is the best time to try since they're still reeling from that last world series

Best batch of Cromulent yet, right up there with Juice is Loose, Flightless, and Obligatory. Safe to say they're brewing some of the best NE style IPA's in the region. Nice work Transient! So happy to have you in our state, thank you!

Definitely excited for the infusion of NE IPAs into SE Michigan. I was getting tired of the IPAs available around here.

So far I have loved everything from Transient I've had. Old Nation M43 is also very good. I liked Ellison Juice and Crescent Fresh; Relativity didn't do it for me and Covariance was basically a session IPA.

Not sure if Ascension's IPAs are considered NE style but they were very good. I especially liked HOMES when it was at Hopcat in Ann Arbor. Am hoping to try more of their stuff.

I was really surprised by this one, mainly because it didn't have the hype that Juice did. Really has a nice piney, bitter bite.

These were my first Transient beers. I'll definitely be making more road trips for more!

Make sure to sit on a four pack for at least 2-4 weeks to see how the flavors change. As the yeast settles, it'll balance out the flavors and be even better!

Darwin. The beer reviewer just did a few reviews on Ellison. Very good review.

Just watched one of his reviews. It was surprisingly pretty good.

"The best DIPA I've had from Michigan "

    Definitely agree.
