I have a feeling it's not "Dancing Green Diamonds", I do have some suspicions to what it really is but I don't want to say because I don't want to get everyone excited without facts.

Ok so Hop Showers was excellent, but they clearly changed the recipe. Last Spring, it was a darker color, and clear. Classic west coast IPA. This most recent batch had that golden haze, more New England style IPA. Thoughts?

I had a pour of the Rum BA "We've Been Out There in Orbit" at Beer Street on Saturday night and it was nothing short of amazing. I'm happy I snagged a few from that release.

I closed out the evening by trying some of the Emerald Cities and thought to myself, "this is juicy and delicious but definitely much softer hop flavors than what OH normally produces without much bitterness" but that's all I can report back because it was a long night.

I tried both regular and raspberry at Beer Street and thought that regular was excellent, perfect if you like both stouts and red wine. Raspberry was too adjunct and unbalanced for me. I also tried AB Orbit which was also excellent.

I'm pretty impressed with OH's stouts now, since previously I had only tried SDH, reg IAL and vanilla Cane Life, and was somewhat disappointed.

    More interesting are the comments...

"I just feel bad for the wives and kids."

"I like beer, but this is a bad sign for our country. OK fine - don't go to work. But at least do something constructive.....standing in line? That's what cows do on their way to slaughter."

"Not one mention of why? Why do otherwise rational people wait like this for what's probably (respectfully) just a very good six pack of beer? We're not talking about the elixir of life from Ponce de leon's fountain of youth...right?"

"Don't these people have jobs? Seriously waiting on line for beer. That's pathetic."

Haha That's pretty funny. I would never sleep overnight outside a brewery, but I'm not gonna knock others for doing it.

Finally made it to Other Half on Sunday. Quick recap for anyone who has yet to make the trek.
    • Parking was a breeze since I arrived right at opening.
    • I knew it was a small tasting room, but it didn't feel small until 10 people were inside.
    • Lines fluctuate quickly, and my rookie mistake was not filling growlers and buying cans right when I arrived.
    • +1 for the music (Wu-Tang, pre-K.K. Kanye West)
    • 3rd Anniversary was stellar.
    Eager to return. :grinning:

They are always bumping the good jams in the tasting room!

The flow inside the tasting room Sunday was up and down, I got there at about 10, walked up bought cans and put them in my car and grabbed my backpack with my growlers. I went in and hung it up and there was a small line, I got 2 4oz pours and by the time I finished them the line was crazy. I got a full 12 oz and a 4 oz next and talked to a few people and by the time I was ready to fill my growlers there was no line, I got another pour and literally the place was almost empty when I left around 1130ish

am I the only one who wishes for a little less hip hop at other half? i think once every 6 times i go I get some rock-ish stuff.

however, i will say that one long night there last year we stayed til closing whilst discovering the lyrical genius of Migos. a friend of mine and I now can't stop singing the "Hannah Montana" song.
