I'm drinking my last Eviscerated Pathway tonight too and I am getting some of the onion-y flavors. It was fantastic fresh though so I've just got to drink the DIPA's faster.

Had Drone Standard, Double Birth, and TLTSOOTHIYH, and Double Birth was by far the best I've had from TH in a while. Age on the other two probably hurt them, while they were both good, nothing really stood out as unique. That double dry hopping with mosaic is what's up.

I didn't get to try Eviscerated but have tried all of the other recent can releases. Double Birth is the clear winner - that beer is insane, there's just so much going on. I'm going to attribute the double dry hopping + mosaic powder as what creates all the layers. On first sip it's like many TH DIPAs you've tried but there's just so much more to explore.

I'll put Albino Slug as the #2. Gives me all the cream and fruit of a Milkshake without the sugar shock/diabeetus guilt.

All in all I'm seeing an upswing on the TH quality/consistency lately. Nice work.

I loved Double Birth, but my cans were flat. They all had the tell-tale squishy can feeling, so I knew I wasn't going to get much carbonation.

Damn, that's bad luck. I've seen the same thing with my cans of Creative Director that are all squishy and flat too but my pack of Double Birth was good.

Is Double Birth that good? Time for a growler.

Ugh. More QC issues at Tired Hands.:slight_frown:

    Non-cheers to this stuff!

Anyone contact Tired Hands about the issue? If you took the cans back to the brewery it would be an easily verified problem - you'd hope they'd either offer a refund or some replacement beer.

I don't know their intentions but I always assumed the low-carb was just a part of the whole "juice simulation" style. Orange juice rather than Orangina...

I had a variety of Tired Hands last night including Double Birth, Drone Standard, Vaporizer, and Oblivex. Double Birth was the best with Vaporizer close behind and no carb issues on my end. A disgraceful mention goes to Levante with that fucking atrocious beer they call Froth.

Looks like they even have QC issues with their QC issues at Tired Hands. Can is squishy but perfectly carbonated. Kinda like my stomach. Non-cheers^2 on that!

This batch of HH cans that were released on Sunday are sub par IMO.

The other week I had two HH drafts at TJ's in Paoli, and they were outstanding, like the HH of the past. They cannot seem to nail down the consistency of this beer to save theirs lives.

TJs has Double Birth on draft right now, I think I'll grolwer it today to try it.

Make sure your growler isn't squishy.

Nah, you don't have to worry about the growler being squishy.

Now, exploding growlers is another matter.

    Cheers!

Agreed on several counts. Double Birth is great. Ditto for Vaporizer, which has shown no sign of decline. Eviscerated, meanwhile, has fallen off a cliff. It's kind of messed up to fall apart that much after only a month. Obvilex, or the most recent batch at least, is subpar IMO. Too boozy and a bit sloppy.

I agree with your opinion. Had one last night and I had trouble finishing the can. It was bitter and unsavory. I am usually the guy defending hop hands..

Have to disagree on this last batch of Oblivex. I liked it even better than when I had it on draft last month. I mentioned in another thread, this batch of Oblivex reminded me of Swish, another phenomenal beer. I'm completely torn on Double Birth vs Oblivex.
