I am looking to put something together for a group of 15-20 people to tour Southwest Michigan breweries. Has anyone had any luck with companies who out these together and provide transportation? Breweries we'd like to visit are Arclight, Watercrest, Tapistry, Roundbarn, Greenbush, Transient Artisan Ales, and maybe more. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks! I emailed them. After looking at their site I was worried they were based more out of GR or Kzoo.

Grape and Grain does tours that hit most of those. I also imagine they'll customize the trip if you fill the bus.

Yes....I just found these guys and they will let me customize at a very reasonable price per person. I think this is who I am going to book through. I'll report back on the experience after the trip.

My opinion....that's a pretty aggressive list. Getting a tour at all of those places and possibly having a beer at each....I think you'll run out of time considering travel time. We rented a limo bus for my buddy's 40th last year and did a west side brewery tour. We made it to Founders, Odd Side, and Perrin. And we didn't even do any tours; just had a few beers at each one.

I think we have it right now at Arclight, Tapistry, Transient Artisan Ales and Greenbush. The latter three are real close to each. I don't think we are going to tour the behind the scenes of each brewery, just stop and drink at each one. I'd love to hit up a couple of the smaller ones at a different time but you are right, this is already a pretty aggressive list.

Wanted to pop on this thread from a few months back and recommend Grape and Grain Brew/Wine Tours.

We were able to book a 8 hour tour for 14 people on a nice bus for about 65 bucks a person. Starting in Stevensville, MI, we visited four breweries; Arclight, Tapistry, Transient, and Greenbush and had a blast. It was a great way to get my friends/family from metro Detroit over to the west side of the state and experience some great breweries in a safe way. The driver was cool and they provided water on the bus. The lady who runs the Grape and Grain was very responsive to all my messages and we set everything up with one phone call and the rest via email. We had a planned out itinerary and our driver helped us keep it, which became difficult after a few drinks.

We chose to not include the brewery tour or drink options because of time and different taste; everyone wanted to drink what they wanted to drink. No drinking on the bus, which is a good thing. We booked our own hotel room which came out to about 100/night. I think total it worked out to around 115/person total (double occupancy on hotel room) and that was with the driver's tip included into the 65/person.

Due to limited food we all ate before the tour and then again at Greenbush to close the night. Snacked on the bus. Arclight gave a few of us a mini tour downstairs in their barrel room and the Cherry Kriek and Flanders Red was great!. Tapistry Katie Bar the Door was a group favorite, especially at 10%. Transient was a great visit and I thought Cromulent was amazing! Greenbush was fun...we waited across at the annex until our table was ready. The server there was awesome..dealing with a group of 14 people who have been drinking all day and in a time crunch to get back on the bus wasn't easy I'm sure. Food was solid as usual.

We will definitely do this again.
