I'm going to shoot for lunch time as well, which makes me think it will be a bit busy. Hoping for 2 crowlers and a growler. Also nice to see (in the comments section of that instagram post) that they will fill other brewery growlers if clean. I have one that's exactly like their flip top growler which I prefer using but havent been able to with them in the past because it wasn't Ram.

I'm hoping it's like hopslush and hops on hops that last a few days. I'll be going in for dinner at some point

Hopefully crowlers can last till dinner. Would love to take home something smaller than a regular growler

Any idea if this is still available? Hoping to make a run at lunch today.

It hasn't been released yet. So it's technically not available

They haven't even opened yet. About 10 people in line and a bunch more waiting in their cars

Obligatory "If this brewer is as good as everyone says, he really needs to find some financing, leave RAM, and start contract brewing his own stuff until he gets his own operation up and running." RAM was really disappointing to me when I visited and they just had their base beers. Within 2 years, Chicago brewers will have perfected the NE IPA and it will be a lot harder to market a new brewery when the market is crowded on NE IPA producers. If people are lining up for his stuff now, it's the time to get moving.

My bad fellas, misread the thread, thought it was being released yesterday. Thanks for the info.

Agreed, but Ram is probably compensating him quite well for his services

Do they send him around to other RAM locations to make this stuff? If they were riding his recipes elsewhere I could see that, but I doubt they would go out of the set range RAM would have for brewers since they are a chain.

I am hoping this lasts the day. Didn't Hops on Hops make it a couple days?

Got here about 11:15. There was a line of ~`12 people ordering growlers and crowlers, which has since dissipated. They're prefilling, which is nice. I'm grabbing a pour at the bar as we speak. It's quite good. I've only had Morning Fog and Juicy. Honestly, this is probably my favorite of the three. Really, really good.

Hopslush was released the same way. Middle of the week and growler/crowlers only and that made it to the weekend. If you can get there sometime in the next few days you should be fine

Line is pretty much done at the bar and a few people are filtering in here in there. Would think it will be good till lunch and beyond as they are still bringing crowlers up to the bar.

2 crowlers for $22 and change. Did not get a growler but think I heard around $19.

Just an FYI: they aren't filling non-Ram growlers.

Few guys here got turned away

Yeah, I was one of them. They will fill non-Ram growlers only after they've run out of their own is what I was told. Not how I interpreted Shaun's comment on Instagram, but ok. Not too big of a deal.

That's a dick move if ever there was one. Wish the Illinois Brewers Guild would force any member breweries to accept other breweries' containers. With all the places that only fill their own growlers you practically need to have 12 different growlers for Chicagoland... So no legal reason, no quality control reason, no filling machine requirements, just you have to use our growler unless we don't have anymore then it's cool to use yours since we can't sell you one...
