Bissell Brothers (2018)

My first Swish in a year or so. Really lives up to the reviews. Juicy like Trillium -- but with that signature BB bitterness on the back end. Thompson's Point set up is real nice too -- and the release managed well w the two line set up and liberal limits. Lunch at Duck Fat along w a pint of Substance made for a perfect 6 hours in Portland.

 

Hi all - I'm heading up to Portland for the Swish release next Wednesday - think if I arrive around 11:30 I'll be in good shape? Travelling with wife & baby so don't really want to be in line too long. Cheers

 

How much does BB charge for a four pack ?

 

Of Swish? I wanna say it was $16, I paid $96 for a full case (had my fiance with me)

 

Question - never been to BB, but will be up in Portland this weekend (2/18 or 19). What are lines likely like for Substance and Reciprocal release on Saturday? What time to get there/time to budget? And, do they ever have cans left over for sale on Sunday.

There might be a little line, but you'll be able to get Reciprocal no problem (I went on NYE, waited for Reciprocal, brought it to my car, then went back in and had two pours and was back on the road all in an hour). Make sure you go Saturday though, no telling if there will be anything left for Sunday.

 

For whatever reason, reciprocal does not bring out the line that swish does (although I just left BB 30 mins ago with no line at all on a swish day). A word of caution, this saturday is the start of ME/MA school vacation and we've had a ton of snow so I expect the crowds will be a bit larger than a typical winter saturday.

 

It was the forecast, a foot of snow predicted keeps the travelers to a minimum. I only saw a few Rhode Island and Mass plates.

 

Haven't been to Bissell on a Dinner release day. Anyone have any insight on how bad the line will be. I know it's not Swish, been there for those days. Had this trip planned before the Dinner release was announced and could care less about Dinner. Just wanna grab some Reciprocal a couple pours and be on our way.

 

Was up there for Swish the same day as Dinner and Epiphany releases. The line was crazy and the waves coming from MBCo were noticable.

Same as you I had planned the trip well before the Dinner release was made public. There were two lines at open (one in front and one in the rear of the building) and both were 500+. I have never seen anything like it before.

In line now at Bissell. Probably close too 100, if not more, in line.

 

Does anyone know when/how (website, Facebook, Instagram?) Bissell typically releases their canning schedule? Trying to plan a trip up in March, but want to time it right.

 

I'd expect around the 25/26th, seeing as though that's when their current release schedule ends (i.e. Winter)

 

Spring schedule hasn't been posted that I've seen, but this is the winter 2017 (up to 2/26). I'd just keep an eye to their social media.

 

How quick was the sellout on Saturday? We took a peek after MBC Dinner release and didn't even bother parking.

 

They were telling people in line before they opened, around 11:30, that they were in danger of missing out on cans. I believe they were officially out by 2:30.

 

We got there at noon...if not for a friend ahead, we would have been third in line when Recip sold out
