Releases are typically on Wednesdays. You can usually have an easy time getting growlers whenever as long as it's not on a release day. My advice would be to just look at the tap list for each place and just roll up expecting to fill a couple growlers. Go Hoos

Nephew plays for St. Joes so definitely torn, should be fun. Figures releases would be Wednesdays, looks like I will have to settle for growlers. Thanks for help.

They'll have some bottles for sale at least. You can get a growler and bottles any day but the cans are a total chance. If there is a release on the day you're there you'll be able to get some but otherwise it is not likely.

Yup, and unfortunately I have tasted more beers with diacetyl in 2016 then I have in the previous ten years combined.

    Non-cheers to diacetyl!:slight_frown:

As Jack had pointed out, it's not about personal taste at this point as its about replicating the same taste routinely. If they want to produce HH consistently with a diacetyl taste to it, that's fine with me - just replicate it over and over so we know what you're getting.

The inconsistencies of HH over the past year have been all over the place; it's pretty much a crap shoot at this point as to what "variant" it will be.

    I wouldn't really say that's fine by me....it's a flaw...

I haven't had the beer on a regular basis but the let's say 10 times I had it last year I didn't have a batch with diacetyl, had batches that were better or worse as far as intensity of flavor or aroma but not flawed.

Cans this week or what? Maybe it's cause I'm in a bad mood and want to take it out on the internet but I'm tired of being dicked around.

Pray tell how this is happening? They never have officially stated they have a set can release schedule. Just go with the flow buddy...

per comments by users on instagram they had an event yesterday so cans are probably pushed back.

I should have stated that better. No, a HH with the taste of diacetyl is not "fine" with me, as I would rather have the OG HH back again on a constant basis.

That being said, if that's the route they want to go then go for it, so we as consumers know exactly what to expect. Right now you're essentially paying X amount to receive a growler, cans, etc. of something that could taste different each time.

Don't sleep on Forest & Main if you can make it. They usually have bottles and sometimes crowlers. And as always Growlers so long as it's not a handpump beer.

You're right, only 98% of the time is it on a set day which is Wednesday and they have altered it for holidays and I forgot about the holiday this week.

I'm not sure they would want patrons risking their lives in the snow to get there then drinking for 4 hours and driving home.
