the event was a smallish food/drink pairing at the cafe, i don't think it would cause them to can or not can... TH does what they want when they want... so that is probably why cans are or aren't pushed back..

fuck it would be fun if they let 2 weeks go by and didn't can something... people would melt like no other

 

Not much you can do concerning cans but I would suggest you request a sample taste of whatever you desire to fill your growler with before you get your growler filled.

Drank another Hop Hands from Sunday today. I wouldn't say the flaw is the "D" word. I would say someone didn't clean out all the cleaning solution from something, soapy flavor.

 

That is the most probable cause of soapy off flavor in this beer.

Another potential cause is:

“If you leave the beer in the primary fermentor for a relatively long period of time after primary fermentation is over ("long" depends on the style and other fermentation factors), soapy flavors can result from the breakdown of fatty acids in the trub. Soap is, by definition, the salt of a fatty acid; so you are literally tasting soap.”

This is not likely since Tired Hands would not leave their beer in the tank too long.

I would say that is definitely not the issue when some of their "finished" beers have so much sediment still in them.

They posted a picture of passion fruit earlier in the week.....

 

Maybe it'll be a 2-milkshake release? It's been a long while since they did that.

Dang, looks like a "double" Milkshake of some kind. Maybe it's just me but they're always inferior to the single versions -- super boozy and sweet, and Double Peach started to snowglobe at around 1 week in.

 

Yeah the doubles are always way too sugary. I have friends who say they even get headaches from them. They baseline one has so much sugar as it is, the doubles are too much. Plus they snowglobe in 5 days.

 

I think Double Peach was not good but Double Mango ruled so it's a crapshoot.

I think this week must be a chocolate milkshake, coffee would be really cool though.

 

Chocolate IPA? Um...

 

I'm gonna go left field and hope it's coconut.. chocolate sounds terrible.

 

My guess is the Blueberry Pancake in a can.

 

Yeah the Chocolate/Coffee Enjoy By was weak. And I love Enjoy By.
