    From the Pre-presale e-mail:

    || JUTEUX || (BATCH 2) Juteux (French: "Juicy") is a mixed-fermentation saison aged in French oak barrels with our house mixed culture of wild yeast and souring bacteria and aged with apricots. So what you get is an apricot-forward, tart, earthy saison with hints of oak. 8.2% ABV (750ml corked & caged champagne-style bottles). 1000 bottles. Limit 2 bottles per person.

    || MÁS JUTEUX || Más Juteux (Spanish: “more” and French: "Juicy") is Juteux with 50% more apricots for a more rounded and saturated apricot experience. And yes, we do plan on making some “más” versions of different beers. This bottle is available exclusively to this group for pre-purchase. All other bottles from this batch with be sold primarily for in-house consumption in the tasting room. 8.5% ABV (750ml corked & caged champagne-style bottles). 350 TOTAL bottles (Including all tasting room bottles). Limit 1 bottle per person.

    Mas Juteux sounds amazing.

this could confuse hazebros, and cause this to sell out faster

Can you describe to me the typical haze bro outfit? Haha. :grinning:

Far be it from me to suggest anything different, and I'm still curious to try the "Mas" version, *but*...

Did anyone out there really think Juteux didn't have enough apricots?

For my money, it was an absolute apricot bomb, and I thought it could've been more interesting if it had reigned in some of that intensity a bit, and let more underlying beer character show through (oak, funk, fermentation action).

I agree completely. Even after a year in the bottle I found it too be more fruity than funky.

Yes but subtlety is lost to new money palates. That's why those adjunct stouts are so popular. The flavors need to be easily detectable. God forbid you have to search for flavors in a beer.

I used to think I knew what hazebros look like, but now I'm not so sure. It's kind of like John Carpenter's THEY LIVE. Behind the veneer of your every day person could be a lurking hazebro, on their way to or from a can release. The yoga mom next to you with a stroller, the elderly Asian man practicing tai chi in the park, the guy in Venice beach who rides rollerblades playing electric guitar..

It's not all overweight guys with beards and Dodger caps in sweatshirts

Haven't noticed them looking at the number when they've cut off mine...

Perhaps I look suspicious or something but they've read off my number each time they've cut off my wristband. Small sample size on my part though as I generally don't get there in time for wristbands during the weekday releases (work 8-5 so go after work and if I'm lucky, I score some cans). I was in the first 60 or so for the Smarter than Spock Saturday release though and they sent a couple of guys in front of me further back in line as they had cut in with some of their buddies so the wristbands seem to be doing their job as far as I can tell.

Ive seen them check the numbers on occasion. Saw a guy who jumped up in line to join his buddies get sent back from the register because his number wasn't yet up.

Which was already stated, the only way non -pre pre folks can get it is in house consumption on future dates. Which, if in house bottles go, will mean it'll be on for a couple of days as it's not hazy and gets very little attention.
