That place is a disaster with price tags, I heard a girl working in the aisle say to her co-worker say she spent most of yesterday doing one 8ft section of the seasonal section. I assume the majority of that finding descriptions or whatever. At some point #fuckitdude and just get the numbers up out there and work on the descriptions later, on stuff that doesn't fly off the shelf.

 

I was just in there the other day. I realize all Total Wine shelves are to some degree a shit show, but the Springfield store truly takes the cake.

 

So those bastards at Ocelot went and brewed a Double IPA version of Home (Nelson and Citra hops) which I love and is releasing it on draft and in bottles this afternoon at 1pm. Not sure I will be able to get over there for a week or two but would love to get a hold of a couple bottles somehow someway.

 

Anyone know anywhere in DC that might still have the Big Bad Baptist variants? Seems like the stores I usually frequent didn't get them.

Are the new Ocelot bottles 12oz or 16? If they're 16oz, they lowered the price.

 

Is there typically a line for these releases? Didn't go to the Talking Backwards release but heard the bottles sold quick.

 

They are 500ml (16.9 oz) bottles. Basically bigger Red Stripe bottles, pretty slick.

 

Apparently there was a line for Talking Backwards which they weren't expecting, plus tons of people getting max allotments which they were not expecting either.

 

I was surprised to find a few bottles of Vanilla Hazelnut Zhukov still on the shelf at WF Clarendon

Agreed, it was good, but a bit underwhelming and not worth the $$ imo.

 

Not too helpful, but I can tell you it came and went at Conn Ave already, so you can cross that off your list of possible places.

 

Moms Organic in Mosaic had a bunch of it about a week ago. At the cheapest price I've seen locally too.

 

This is Maryland, but Fishpaws in Arnold, MD had 4 left on Tuesday.. worth a call..
