It's already 5-6 dollars for a BMC on a plane, what do you think a craft beer would cost? Good luck with your cause, but I usually read and/or get some sleep on the plane; drinking can wait until landing.

Actually my general impression with overpriced drinks is that they don't scale linearly, there's just a surcharge added to all of them. It would probably be something like $5 for BMC and $6 for import/craft for which you could choose SNPA or you know... Heineken...

JetBlue has Brooklyn lager. It'd be nice if they had torpedo or stone ipa, but I still wouldn't order it. I get dehydrated enough just from flying.

Frontier has canned Colorado Native on their flights.

There are still a lot of places I see with Sam Adams Boston Lager as their only craft option...let's work on changing stuff on the ground first.

Unlikely that a petition is really going to make a change here... You would likely need to send the feedback directly to the airline - I do not think the beers served on board are government regulated.

You are assuming the airline wouldn't use it as a money grab, and considering all the fees now, I think it is likely they would. I can buy craft beer while watching MLB but it's 4x what it costs in the store, one example being a $16 22oz Brew Kettle 4Cs Pale.

Virgin Airlines carries Anchor Steam. Craft beer on planes is out there, but as mentioned above, would you really want to pay what they'll ask for something like that? Drink before you get on the plane.

Porter Airlines (Eastern Canada and North Eastern United States) ONLY serves cans of Steamwhistle Pilsner on their flights (well, and wine and other non-alcoholic drinks). And it's complementary! Free craft beer!

If you have multiple flights with stopovers (I usually fly Toronto - Ottawa - Halifax - St. John's) then you get a beer each flight. Every time I fly home or back I end up having three complementary cans of craft beer. Pretty dec'.

Boycott all airlines that don't offer craft beer!!!!!!! Take a bus and bring your own.

I like the sound of that! Enjoy a nice beer or two while watching the miles roll by!

By the way, with a user name like ``otispdriftwood', you really ought to have a picture of Groucho Marx as your avatar.:grinning:

Fly first class and the craft beer would be free.

I flew Iceland air a few weeks back and all they had was Gull and some other icelandic euro pale lager.

In the movie it's Otis B. Driftwood so I'm not worthy of using a picture of Groucho.

I have a bad habit of getting to airports WAY too early, so by the time I get on the plane I'm half-lit anyway...lol. I like to use the flight to sober up.
