TG Taproom has 4pk cans of Sue and Tsunami for $12....in case you wanted to spend $2 more than you can get it anywhere else!

    Pro tip:
The Co-Op, Fareway, or Cresco Liquor store (depending on your route into Decorah) for can purchases.

They do that so they don't undercut the surrounding businesses that sell their stuff. They know they'll be able to sell the cans regardless, so might as well upcharge and not take potential business away from the area stores.

Interesting perspective. I always thought it was Clark trying to max profits.

I automatically assumed that as well, and it's certainly another reason, but he/the account tweeted what I said explicitly.

They do seem to make a big effort to work well with area businesses.

It definitely happens at other breweries (and wineries as well)...so not just a Clark/TG thing.

Weird that Rover and GNug 4Pks are $2 cheaper at the taproom ($8), than other places if that's the case then.

King Sue bottles are live in the taproom. Anyone know what the bottle limit is? 4? Full case?

1 case per person per day is the limit. They marked my hand "KS" with permanent marker.

I just snagged a case of king sue and a case of Sumo.

This batch of King Sue is juicy-er than the last.

Date on the neck is 2/17/17 (today).

Also grabbed a growler from Pulpit while I was in town.

Good to hear it's juicier, the last batch was underwhelming. Still very good, just missing the juiciness. Might have to make the drive down from Rochester!

Anyone know if King Sue is still available in the taproom?

Is King Sue in the $8-$10 price range?

$10 a bottle at the taproom. The menu on Untappd shows pricing. Stores received bottles today. I saw $10.99 and higher

Yeah, they're all around 11/12 everywhere I've seen.

This King batch is hazier than the last couple... still tastes mostly the same (maybe juicier), but a bit softer mouthfeel. It has hops, it has juice, and it is really smooth at 8%. It just might be the perfect (hoppy) beer. A++++

I agree... I thought MoZee was as good as King Sue until my wife and I split each last night... (don't judge - it was my birthday! :sunglasses: ) King Sue blows MoZee out of the water. Super creamy mouthfeel and it does have haze for f*cking days.

Any updates on Toppling Goliath's new distro state - Missouri? Is it coming in all over the state or just select regional distributors? Will it be a full or limited line up?

I would guess outside IA, WI and MN. It will be mostly canned offering and maybe occasional bombers until new facility is up and running and we see how much beer that place will crank out.
