Lol. This occurred to me after I grabbed my bottle at Binny's. Got back to work and thought it was odd it wasn't kept behind the counter and then thought there probably weren't limits which means I should have at the very least grabbed an extra bottle for a friend and at the most gotten both cases for the nice folks in this forum.

Anyone who does this deserves to trip and fall on the way out to the parking lot, breaking all 12 bottles. Well, save one so they have a chance to drown their sorrows later.

We are supposed to drink the bottles we bought, right? People still do that? Honestly, this time around I was really hoping to get one bottle, which I did, going to drink it fresh. Not sure putting one away will add anything more to it in time.

Up to you but had draft fresh last year and from the bottle 10 months later. Time improved it

Can't speak to BA Darkness, but I'm typically of the mind that if you've never had the beer, drink it fresh. Half the fun of drinking a beer you've cellared (or whatever; I don't have a cellar or even another level of housing!) is seeing how it changes, so if you haven't tasted said beer, what's the point? You're busy reading all these reviews of the beer, getting curious about it, and when you finally have it....it's a different beer than a lot of those people reviewed.

The other thing is that one of the best aspects of Darkness (to me) is the hoppiness, so I'd definitely drink one regular fresh. With the BA, I think this aspect is toned down somewhat, so it wouldn't be as important. Then again, I still have a bottle of Darkness 2013 that I can't get myself to drink, so wtf do I know?

I actually found a bottle! They told me it was the last one, but they always say that.

I hear you but I think there are a couple of exceptions: 1 If it's too hot 2 If there is a reason to believe it will get better. I think the Rye barrel character of last year showed evolution and improvement. Again, we're talking months of aging not years

Talked to my guy at Whole Foods when I went to pick up a So Happens it's Tuesday, and the dickbreath I mentioned earlier asked the a.m. Beer stockist if he could buy the whole case, stockist says no, one per person, and when stockists turns around the guy grabs the whole box and makes a run for the register.

I usually have great luck at Whole Foods, but sometimes I am very surprised that they just throw an entire case of something rare out in the floor.

This is why these need to be behind a register. Also why I'm surprised Binny's LP had theirs out on the floor today.

Especially at a Whole Foods where the people at the register have no clue what it is.
