Christ Almighty. Capone's didn't even have the 9/6/12 bottling. I really got the shaft on this one. :grimacing:

The 8/23 juice just seems a bit more "barrel forward" to me.

I was in there on the 20th and was able to score a four pack for $23.99, so at some point the price was accurate. Not sure when they changed from 4 packs at $23.99 to single bottles for $takeituptheass.99 each, but it may be a case of an outdated beermenus list more than outright bait-and-switch. I went to place by my work (Northbrook) last week that also had single bottles for $6.99 each and hate myself for scooping up the two bottle limit.

Their beermenus page says updated 10/2/12 (today) and still has the 23.99 per four pack price. I had heard this place was shady, but I guess I had to go and find out myself.

Fair enough, I didn't bother checking the beermenus page before posting, sounds like a pretty raw deal. I usually try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but selling bottles for $6.99 is bad enough in and of itself, and doing that while having it publicly listed at a (much) lower price is just shitty.

The guy updates it about 15 times a day with meager .01 or .02 price changes, random spellings and so on so his beermenus page is at the top of the search everytime you look. He keeps beers up or "in stock" that he doesn't actually have and he advertises false prices on rarer items. "oh, this WAS the beermunes price earlier but since we're so low I had to change it." He had King Henry up on his page for about a month after he had sold out just to drive more business into the place. I refuse to shop at this establishment.

I agree that $6.99/bottle is bad but I got you beat. Some jerk off in the far west burbs is selling single bottles for $9.99. Pretty sure AleWatcher knows who I'm talking about.

The place by me now has singles at $9.99.... Aurora/Oswego border. I wonder if you are talking about the same place.

I have a question, your store twitter account says a 2 bottle limit, is that the case or are 4 pks available?

Ugh, of course I'm out of town for 2 weeks when BCS releases. If anyone has any leads on a spot in Chicago (excluding the burbs) that might still have some it would be greatly appreciated.
