J Wakefield Releases

Surprised no one's talked about this yet, Wakefield announced an additional BA Big Poppa variant, Label Us Notorious, aged in Calvados barrels, available to VIP's for $40, at 1 per person.

He'll also will be raffling off 12 bottles of Bake Kujira (black label): Maple Syrup Cali Brandy barrel aged Big Poppa made with Kopi Luwak Coffee, coconut and vanilla.

Lastly he'll be raffling off 1 magnum of Bake Kujira (white label), a blend of all three BA Big Poppa with Kopi Luwak Coffee, coconut and vanilla.

 

Anyone know if you need to or how you are able to change the name you put as VIP guest if someone different is going with you? I had emailed about this before when tickets went on sale and they replied you would be able to change the guestcname however no information came with my wristbands about registering them or anything. I did email again still waiting on response.

 

There was a card that came with the wristbands with a web address to register. You can change the name there.

 

where did you see this? I bought VIP tix and never got the the opportunity to buy the "label us notorious"

I'm visiting Miami this Sunday- Friday (19th-24th), I know... missing the fest.
I want to go to the brewery/taproom as some point during the week though. I don't know too much about how JWB operates, but considering they said they have 30 of their own beers on tap for the festival, can I expect to have a similar type of selection a few days after? It could go either way - they might get wiped out and not have much Sunday and on, or they could have a lot leftover. I'd lean towards them having some goodies on tap still on Sunday and beyond. Probably not their "whales" though.

Within Wynwood - Wakfield obviously, Boxelder (beer bar), Kush (burger restaurant with usually a great tap list). There's also Wynwood Brewing and Concrete Beach (breweries) just a short walk away. Nothing special but good enough and worth visiting imo.

Union Beer Store is a real cool beer bar/store in Little Havana. Not too far away from Wynwood.

MIA Beer Co is in Doral, so not very close by but easily the 2nd best brewery in Miami imo. Tons of variety - usually around 30 of their own unique brews on tap and something for everyone.

If you're thinking of going north of Miami into Broward county then there's plenty more to recommend like Funky, Flagler Village, etc.

 

I have a GA ticket and got a wristband to register. The wristband says GA on it

 

GA ticket with bottle? I have no bottle GA and it's just an e-ticket ...probably why the fees were so much less than the GA + bottle option
