Good time to pick up bottles or is it still pretty crazy?

you can bypass line if you're just picking up bottles... otherwise pours/fills are like 45 min wait

Mas was good. A lot more Apricot on the nose and a little sweeter. I actually preferred Juteux.

Nearly 1 hour since the IG post... is the hype on these re-releases subsiding?

It's a re-boot of the same recipe, much like Really Real. I have a feeling it it subsiding, and people can't drink beer fast enough. Also, $20 a 4-pack at 2 or 3 packs gets costly over time. Can't just pay that for beer week after week.

Sadly if people only bought beer to drink themselves we could avoid most of this mess. Instead they have to max out and bring mules to hoard the product, hype it up, and then trade/sell it away.

Not even close. Glad I drove from Long Beach only to get skunked by about five people. At this moment this is where I stop jumping through hoops to pay $5 a can but who am I kidding, FOMO is real.

Let me say that I really enjoy drinking Monkish beers. Let me also say that I have a lot of east coast friends who are telling me that the "cache " for Monkish beers is waning big time. Lets just call a spade a spade, the majority of the people who loiter and line up for these beers are the same week in and week out who are using the beer as a form of financial income, seriously folks what rational human is standing in really long lines for two $12 teku glasses? answer ? just look online an hour later to see them being either offered for trades or sale at up to $ 50 a pop, GOD I am groing so damn tired of this type of beer culture right now. The amount of breweries that are now really dialed in on this style beer are cannabalizing the " it factor " for Monkish big time, the fact that Monkish had a can release and there are maybe 3 posts in this thread confirms this. This style is not sustainable for the long term success of any brewery. I would love to see Monkish offer a more diverse IPA offering, much like HPB and Noble, though IMHO Noble has one mission and one mission only.

    Cheers,

What singular mission do you think Noble has?

Hey, I am making my first trek down to Monkish on Sunday 2/19, i'm looking for any tips or insight as to what might be released or available when i'm there? from the website it looks like the IPAs aren't avail for growler fills? Do they fill outside growlers and if so is it only a specific type? Is there usually something avail in bottles or cans or is it just luck of the draw and I might just be able to enjoy my hops onsite? Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers,Mitch

They usually introduce new IPA's for growler fills on Friday's, so you should be in luck. They do fill outside growlers, but they will charge you $2 or so to cover them with tape - you can avoid this by doing it yourself with electrical or duct tape. Additionally, they will also gladly fill blank growlers with no charge. FYI - they fill 750ml, 32oz, and 64oz growlers. I know for sure they do not fill german-stein growlers, or growlers with huge necks that take up 2 draft spaces. As for canned/bottled beers to go - the canned IPA's are done for this week. They may have some saison to-go if you are lucky. Otherwise, enjoy everything in house! I hope that helped. You should take a look at their website and at the FAQ's section - pretty helpful.

    Cheers, bud!

Most likely no can release on Sunday 2/19. There is a possibility they will have a new beer on for growler fills, though. The website is the best way to see what is available for fills on the day of your visit. Yes, they fill outside growlers if the logo is covered. They might have on-site consumption bottles of their belgians/sours when you stop by, but for the most part when there is no can release it's pours only and whatever they may have on for fills.

here's my question... Why do you even care? Like, really? There's a lot options out there. So why even worry what a certain brewery is doing if you don't approve of their Illuminati like plans?
