Both Gummy's are top draw! I have the "unfortunate" job of drinking my second crowler of Funny Gummy right now while watch Premier League since I need to travel for most of the week.

Is the expectation that Funny Gummy and Gummy Vortex will continue to be offered this week? I am out of town and wont be back till mid-week..

Slapper on the left. These are 1a and 1b. Hard to tell the difference between them. Trillium was slightly darker in color. Nose, taste and mouthfeel are all very similar.

The new batch of ChiPA from Marz is an improvement over the first bottling IMO. Softer mouthfeel & less bitter.

I gave I Want To Believe (Hop Butcher) another chance NOT expecting a New England style & wound up enjoying it. Still yeasty, but there were pleasant fruit punch flavors. Certainly a better experience than my initial drainpour.

Yeah, expectations are EVERYTHING for I Want to Believe.

ChiPA on tap (the first batch; second was bottled) was my favorite of the two, so I'm hoping to grab a bottle of batch 3 in the next day or two. Is it ~$15?

$10 @ Capones. A few cases available, so no need to rush.

Had the Chi IPA on draft today. It's a great beer, but if you're expecting a NE IPA, I'm not sure it fits the bill. It's really bright. Reminds me a lot of Son of Juice, which I also really enjoyed, but had none of the haziness or stressed out yeast flavors.

As @GuyFawkes mentioned, it's $9-10 depending where you go, but it's also in the smaller 16.9oz bottles they use for a lot of their releases.

This batch is definitely closer to Batch 2 than Batch 1. I enjoyed it.

OK, I probably could've asked this elsewhere, but I thought I'd start with you guys (most of you won't dress me down too much). But I got 3 crowlers from Noon Whistle (awesome by the way).

My question is: I'm pretty much in for the long haul if I open one, and have to drink the whole thing in one sitting, right? If not, how do I preserve it for the next night? Growlers and half growler bottles are easy; they have screw on caps. But I'm SOL on the crowlers, right?

    Umm, asking for a friend.

You could always pour the leftovers into a half growler and put the cap on. You won't have a ton of time, and it'll still probably taste a little flat, but you might be able to get an extra day or 2 out of it.

If you have a large mouth 64oz. growler with the screw on cap it may be a little easier to pour the beer into than the narrow flip top growlers. I have been able to extend the life of the beer by a couple of days by wrapping the cap with electrical tape to form a better seal.

In town til Wed morning. Where would u go to pick up the best NE style IPA for growler fill? Does Noon Whistle have anything left? Would love to take a growler back home.

Yes, if you can get to Noon Whistle they still have Gummy Vortex. Worth calling them though to be sure.

FYI - Hop Butcher has 2 more NE IPA's on the slate if you check their website.

Smoke Filled Room - XJA2/432 NE Style DIPA with Hawaiian Papaya (8.0%)
Blazed Orange - Citra & Mandarina Bavaian Style NE PA (6.0%)

Question is, NE like Galaxy Bowl, or NE like I Want to Believe? :astonished:

Who knows. Aside from that - I had Hubbard's Cave Fresh One Hop that was released at their taproom yesterday. It's got no bitterness at all - I thought it was great. Reminded me a lot of some of the Mikerphone NE IPAs
